Hello one, hello all!

After 5 months of hard work, the BTDEM kickstarter is now live! The only time you'll be able to get a hardback omnibus edition of the complete series!

I tried to go all out on it. Sprayed edges, slipcases, interior artwork, colored ribbons - this is as pretty as I could make it. It's an 8 book omnibus instead of 16 books because it was much, MUCH cheaper that way. Only need to print 8 books! All 16 books - From the first chapter all the way to the big finale - are included.

I just want to reiterate - this is your ONLY chance to get hardback copies. This is your only chance to get this edition. The stress and logistics of all of this have been utterly insane, and I have no desire to go through it a second time. I won't be stocking up a bunch personally, I won't be releasing them on other platforms, there won't be 'from the vault' sales. This is IT.An entire set of paperbacks on Amazon is $320. The entire omnibus set, done to a much higher quality, is $550 IF you get the earlybird discount! For the next 2-3 days, the entire series is discounted from around $650 to around $550. It's as cheap as I could make it.It's not just physical copies though! We also have PLUSHIES! Auri and Elaine!

I've been asked 'Selkie, what are you doing next?' quite a few times. Answer!First, I'm taking some time off. I've been doing BTDEM non-stop for half a decade now, I'm exhausted. I need some serious recovery time. It'll be somewhere between a month to six weeks, depending. I do want to keep playing with Elaine and her story. Some epilogue chapters here and there, maybe explore some of her stories untold. I'm thinking a chapter a month right now.

Then, I'm going to go full tilt into Song of the Gift-Giver! I've already written a few chapters and I've got most of my notes done and organized for it! The short version: Selkie writes a magic school! I'll be teasing a few chapters right around the time BTDEM ends before taking a break. I'm doing some neat stuff with epigraphs!Lastly, I want to thank you all. Your ceaseless support over the years have helped make BTDEM a reality, and have brought Elaine's story to life. From the first day I started posting, all the way until now, your support has made this all happen. It's changed my life, and I'm always grateful to all of you.

The internet is forever, and hopefully Elaine's story will never die on it.

Ahhhh, Selkie, two days is a very short amount of time to pull $550 out of the budget! But I'm going to see what I can do, those books look gorgeous and yours is a series I definitely want to display for a long time to come.

But only if you are willing to exchange an original Gutenberg Bible or a first edition Don Quijote signed by the author for it. ;-P

Congratulations, wish I could get them. LMAO at the timing though, the Kickstarter ends a day before a payday. The softcovers will do though, I've been waiting to get them after the series is complete.

Hm. A huge part in me considering to cash out so much for the whole collection is how much will be left for you Selkie. Of course I don't expect you to disclose numbers, but maybe you can confirm that it works as a "thank you". But if that's mostly as self cost for you, I'd rather pledge $100 without getting anything to say thank you. PS: I have been an off-on subscriber to patreon of those long 5 years, and I really appreciate you sticking it out to the end. That couldn't have been easy.

Congratulations!!! I am soooo happy you are doing this!! I have been reading these since the first few chapters. Waiting and slowly reading through the story as I aged into my own person has made me extremely attached to them. I'm as of this year in a position to be able to afford these. I was saving the last book to read at the end of a full reread. When these come in it will be an amazing culmination of all that time. Thank you for giving the world this amazing series!!

Its odd. I’ve completely stopped reading Physical books, and only read on kindle or RR, or patreon obviously. But I’ve gone ahead and bought the eb collection. I don’t know why, and i kept filling out the sign up, before closing the page. But it’s been three times, so i decided to go for it, as I know I am really going to miss BTDEM. And getting something so visually amazing will be like having a permanent copy where with Kindle, we don’t down the books we buy, and RR and Patreon is available entirely at the authors grace. I am really looking forward to it, but nearly £600 is alot of money.

Hey Selkie, just saw your email. I don’t know how the others feel, but don’t feel like you have to throw any freebies for someone like me, who ordered the eb collection. What would be really nice is for some of the patreon who expressed an interest in purchasing some of the books but didn’t have the purchasing power at the moment, would it be possible to have extra copies made, so they can be set aside for when they are in a position to buy it at a later date, or maybe pay over a longer period of time, like 12 payments, like annual subscription on patreon?

These books are just magnificent and make you want to buy them! And the little presentation video, so tempting... Unfortunately for me as for few others, it's a purchase that far too expensive for my limited finances. But I wanted to say congratulations for this incredible story, it has thrilled us for years! And it's is a beautiful way to conclude this saga

I gave in and pledged for the full collection plus bookmark. The POT option pushed me over the edge. I was already buying each E-book as it released and seeing how nice these were going to look on the shelf will make them an excellent way to read the story for the third time. I read initially on RR before Patreon, recently read through the E-book versions. Now I can read hardcover sometime down the line for my third time through. This story absolutely hooked me and it's the only patreon story I've subscribed to for more than a couple months besides "He Who Fights With Monsters". But that series got me on the audio books.

I was looking at the Kickstarter a couple days ago and saw there was a tier for all the digital books, but I went to pledge to it yesterday, and it seems to be gone? I haven't been able to find any explanation anywhere.
