Over the past decade, the convention cycle has turned the usual art grind into this:

Create 1-2 BIG pony items every 2 months for the next pony convention.Create 1 BIG furry item every 4 months for the next furry convention. And as of 2025, create 1 BIG anime item every 2 months for themed events.

This is a change from the norm of working on 1 BIG portfolio piece every year, supplemented with various smaller pieces for the community. Instead of focusing on my Kickstarters, I've been crunching to make merchandise for obscure characters for that 1 convention they'd be at. My task and time management has been all out of whack. By trying to spin a dozen plates on two hands, I've spilled all the food and broken all of the dishware.

My hands are weak! Darn, stupid hands.

In the past, I've tried to keep "MidnightPremiere" to just pony stuff, while also creating personas (and fursonas, shh) for every other endeavor. It just results in my split audiences all getting less content as a result, and me failing to prioritize them all properly. I'm really sorry for the inconsistencies that this has caused!

My plan for 2026 and beyond is this: I am going to consolidate. Katie, MidnightPremiere, RogueRats, it's all me. I can't shoehorn myself into hooved ponies forever..I miss drawing fingers and noses and dimpled cheeks! I've been drawing opossums, and Hatsune Mikus, and seagulls, but I haven't shown them here! Why not?

(Ponies are fun to draw too, don't get me wrong)

And I need to treat this platform right! I need to be better so that I can better appreciate the endless and positive support that you've all given me. It is so unbelievably kind and I have spent so much time not believing it, and certainly not deserving it.

Anyway. All that to say, that I am changing the way I handle this platform moving forward.

My tiers are going to simplify into 2 categories. Maybe I can add others later, but this will be the norm until I learn how to spin 1 metaphorical plate again.

The Poets Tier. $2-5 tier. This will be my Thank Yous tier, a tip jar with WIP benefits. Access to all of my normal posts and WIPs that will resume monthly posting. I will post more with what I have been doing in ALL of my circles, not just pony, and my WIPs will reflect that. Also, colored roles in Discord as before.

The Prose Tier. $35 monthly tier, that will include my newest merchandise piece(s) for that month. The total value of the piece will amount to $35 or over. FOR EXAMPLE..some of my upcoming pieces will include an enamel pin, stickers, and large game playmats. So in one month, you might either receive the new enamel pin + sticker (valued at $35); or you might receive 1 playmat with carry bag (valued at $75). It'll fluctuate. Alternatively, IF you reach out to me before my mailing days on the 15th of every month, you can instead redeem $30 off of my Etsy shop. So you could grab any fandom-specific items you see there, instead of whatever new items I have on the conveyor. I also want to figure out a consistent way to have nice printed versions of my posts that month, that I send out as well. A pseudo-mail club. I love adding little stickers and flair, and this will help me make something consistent for everyone.

With this new system, if I get over 30 Prose tiers, I will make exclusive acrylic pins for everyone who has joined. And I'd love to make enamel pins too. BUT! I need to start small.

A huge thank you to everyone, as always, for your support, past and present. If you choose not to change with these tiers, it's completely understandable and I am so grateful for all of the help and engagement along the way! I hope to make great content for everyone. I want to get the ball rolling and feel productive again. (And I will have all existing rewards sent out as usual! I'm not "resetting" any existing rewards.)

I will have these tiers created and ready to roll out in May. In the meantime, I will be posting a WIP or art piece every day for the rest of this month.
