Here it is - the next big WARHOUND story. I've been cooking this one for a long time, and I'm very, very proud of what I've landed on:

How much of the real Sartha Thrace remains? Sartha wonders about that herself - but as Handler brings her into the Empire's heart to play power games, she has no time to dwell on the question. The show must go on

I'm very excited to hear what everybody thinks. But perhaps even moreso, I'm excited to show you all the artwork I commissioned from Marigold (https://bsky.app/profile/fraumarigold.bsky.social) - she's unbelievably talented, and I am perpetually honored that she ever felt moved to lend her art to my work. Getting something bespoke from her to inaugurate SHOWHOUND is incredibly special to me, and, as you can see, she truly went above and beyond this time around. The full res version is attached below along with the story, so you can enjoy all the breathtaking details

Anyway, that's enough out of me. Enjoy~

Oooh what an exciting start. Fantastic work on the fight scene, it was incredibly gripping. AWFUL vibes in the Imperial capital. I love seeing Sartha alternate between struggling with her thoughts and her elation at the primal thrill of the fight. If only that pesky humanity could finally be snuffed out completely, she’d be so much happier, wouldn’t she? :> Also fun to see that the Imperials are the Moonrace.

I just need to add +1 to the Art, I haven't even read it yet but it's absolutely stunning.

"That strange temple of concrete thorns where nothing grows" NUCLEAR SEMIOTICS OMG!!!!!!! Gonna read the rest now but O.M.G.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This was SO GOOD. I love the huge Soviet mech being brought back to fight lmao. You depict so well the struggle between inherently being human but not wanting to be. Tysm for continuing warhound with this sequel!!

I LOVE seeing more about the wider setting, the Gundam inspiration really shines through (and man I really need to watch Turn A already). The description of Knossos itself is appropriately horrific, exactly what I imagined the Imperial core would look like. Such a grim contrast to the barren wastelands the rest of the series has depicted. I consistently marvel at how you write mech battles, they're so visceral and engaging. You put such thought into how they move, how they're built, while still keeping the prose fast and evocative of human-scale combat. Kosterion is such a cool mech that I'm sad it's already wrecked. Dipping into a knightly theme was a great touch. Very excited to see how it's all gonna get so much worse.

I caught a cold recently and ended up spending all of today reading Warhound, and I loved it so much that I couldn't help but swing by your Patreon to see more! I can't quite recall the last time a story and setting captured my imagination so thoroughly, but you have managed to do so with this series. The erotica is superb, of course, but I'm also loving the turn toward worldbuilding, character development, politics, and good ol' fashioned Big Robot Fighting™ that we've been seeing in Rescue Hound and now Showhound. As someone who came into this not very familiar with mecha media, I can certainly grasp the appeal of the genre now. The fight scenes capture the pure glee I felt watching Gurren Lagann for the first time when I was a wee middle schooler, many moons ago. I'm very excited to see where the series is headed next. The gradual descent into depravity we've seen has been at once heart-wrenching and tantalizing. I expect things will get much worse before they get better, if they get better at all - even so, I have a sliver of hope that one of our main characters will successfully crawl out of the shit-pit, reclaim her humanity, and maybe heal someday. I've gotten too attached to them for me to want anything else :( but I suppose that's a testament to the quality of your writing!

Thank you so much, for all of that!! I'm deeply, deeply flattered - SHOWHOUND is definitely trying to pay a little more attention to the (heretofor neglected lol) worldbuilding, and I'm glad that it's rewarding to read about. And especially, I'm glad the you feel so attached to the story and the characters. That really means a lot <3

Tazzah

Please, I'm begging you to be nice to Leinth. I love her, lol

“And with that, the last knight of the atomic age dies.” That line goes so hard. It’s all so amazing, every detail in that fight is just, chef’s kiss.

Ilina!!

So brutal.. really glad I got some money together for this. Genuinely delighted by the worldbuilding this is showing of the Empire, very giddy to read more

oh my goodness me. I unsubscribed for a bit but managed to get the extra cash recently. This is incredible. The constant back and forth in Sartha's head, the explicit statement of what the empire is, Handler almost reading as having the slightest sympathy for Sartha. Beautiful and lovely writing as ever.

Took a short break after finishing RESCUE HOUND before picking this up again and RARRGGHHH LEINTH MENTIONED. I'm just glad she didn't get left back in the kennels with a certain someone, at least she can have some joy standing at her Handlers heel.
