Three years after Sartha Thrace's treason was unveiled to the world, a rebel pilot still dwells on her image - only to soon find himself becoming more intimately acquainted with her heroic spirit than he could possibly have imagined

Here we are, at last. This one has consumed me for the past month, and I hope every bit of that effort shows on the page. I'm very proud of how it turned out, and very excited for the future possibilities it seeds. I hope you all enjoy it - but be warned, it goes to some very dark places vis-a-vis violence, identity death, and dysphoria

Thank you all for your patience and support. And thank you above all to my beta readers for this project: Maggie, Olivka, Lizzie, Sarah, Sophie, Elektra, and Esme. I couldn't have done it without you

Genuinely incredible! I was completely glued to my screen from page 1.

The searing pain of the ditch tattoo that I was receiving whilst reading this was dwarfed by the expanses of pain and cruelty so potently woven through this wonderful wretched tale. Every time I think things can't get worse my expectations are subverted, but that just means it's next to impossible to finish one of your stories without feeling a burning, needling urge to know what happens next.

Good lord the weaponized dysphoria was impeccably done. How utterly cruel and yet the most in line with the character was with the last section was magnificently wretched. Love your work ❤️

Ough, incredible. Snuff like spilled lemonade gone sticky in the heat, then mopped up with denatured alcohol. Every time I read your work I grow. I am taking notes. I am chewing the sprig of rosemary.

ohhh i get it. sartha thrace is a hero.

I feel like so much of what makes the story of Sartha Thrace so powerful is the ambiguity of her agency. SHOWHOUND hit so hard because it being the first time we have her perspective since WARHOUND, we begin to believe she has more freedom to rebel than we thought. And then those hopes are crushed when the horrific climax is revealed to have all been Handler’s plan. And here you have me yet again wondering: is Sartha Thrace still capable of being a hero? Maybe. We get the double perspective of a character who has felt the things she felt and see her commit an act seemingly against Her.

Identity death is always a treat when done right, and the wrestling with mis-matched memories, struggle with the self identity forced upon you, incredible.

Sartha!!

Incredible work once again Kallie.

This was a really fascinating read. While I felt some elements went a bit too far for my liking (I get absolutely nothing out of cuckoldry), I still enjoyed it. In particular, I think exploring Sartha's POV through someone grappling with a horrifyingly existential crisis of identity was brilliantly executed. Am I wrong for seeing a flicker of hope in how it ends?

Charlie

The cruelness in this is story is so delicious. The way you are able to convey the stripping down of someone psyche for parts and use is amazing, especially with how the identity loss and twinning combine to turn the knife even harder. Once again, amazing work! Leaving me with much to think about

masterful as always! a really fascinating take on dysphoria. i also personally love all the references to the agitprop apparatus surrounding sartha. creating a platonic ideal of a hound through quasi-official pornography is soooo interesting

Tazzah

Beautifully horrific as always, but I can only think: Leinth's winning? I'm so thankful you gave her a break from the Suffering Nexus

God, this story is fuuuucked. Like, Rescuehound ended with the Handler showing up in her big black boots, and kicking out the Rebellion's campfire- and every chapter since has been The Empire sifting through the ashes, finding the coals, stomping them to bits, then taking the last little dregs and submitting them to unimaginable torture. The Empire is so, so, *so* evil. Sheesh. Im kind of in disbelief that this story could somehow continue, but when that day comes, I'll be eager to read it.

Excellent as always. This one has a lot of really evocative bits of prose, but for some reason the one that sticks with me most is “Axiomatically, their hero”. Only three words, but it feels like the heart of the whole thing. You continue to make every new glimpse we get into this world its own, fresh sort of insanity. I particularly appreciate how every subsequent appearance of Sartha manages to paint her as more fundamentally broken than the last.

WarBlade

every so often i read one of these stories and take incredible psychic damage. and then three months later I see the notification for a post like this and am dragged out of my blissful well-adjusted WARHOUND-free life back into sicko hell for another round. 10/10 no regrets, keep up the incredible work

In another post I mentioned how Sartha could *possibly* turn on Her, how Handler's huberis and neglect of Sartha's conditioning could be her undoing. But at this point I'm not sure if it even matters. It isn't just Her anymore, the vision has grown, they're not just mass producing hounds, they're making handlers too. Her methods have been embraced, standardized and normalized within the empire and I think that may be Her ultimate victory, regardless of how things play out, Handler's ideology will outlive her.

Started reading WARHOUND a week ago and I am obsessed, your writing is incredibly addictive! I absolutely adore how everything comes back to Sartha. Handler may have a knack for getting into people's heads but Sartha, whether she likes it or not, hits something deeper and no one is immune. She's the public figure, Kione's leash, Leinth's rival, the hellhound's template, and even Handler's prized standard of perfection. The hound might be out the bag for Handler's work but there's a lot Sartha is holding together for Her!

Maddii

It's hard to explain in a simple comment, but these stories mean so much. Thank you so much, I have no idea how you do this again and again but please don't ever stop.

Out Of All Of WARHOUND This Is The One That Is Going To Consume Me The Most. How Deliciously Bleak And Utterly Captivating Like A Gravity Well. The Glimpse That Handler Was The Perfect Inclusion. It Makes Me Wonder Just How Much Control She Has Beyond The Walls Of The Kennels And The Minds Of Her Hounds. And Leinth Is Winning! That's My Girl! Amazing Work!
