The curtain rises on the next WARHOUND story! And it's something of a departure from what's come before, featuring no returning characters. Houndstooth will be a toxic romance set within the Empire, between Rhi, a self-styled nonconformist and dissident, and Xanthe, her new girlfriend - who Rhi soon discovers to her displeasure is, in fact, a handler

this is so good!! the dynamics are almost an inverse of rescue hound: instead of kione's hedonistic nihilism we get rhi's bleeding-heart liberalism, which is of course just as susceptible to fascist love-bombing. loved the play around intoxication at the dinner scene. she's intoxicated by the affection, the luxuries, the wine, and probably something else too lol .... very excited for more

I love this dynamic so much. Idk how you keep doing this x.x It's interesting to think about a handler's outside life, and how their work can also bleed into their personal life. It's like second nature to assume control. Really interested to see more about these characters
