Do you hear the people sing? Singing the song of reactr time.

It's time for a musical!! And the music is just so epic! The visuals are gorgeous, and I've since listened to the songs many times since watching this 🤩

One day I may see Les Misérables live, the songs are so powerful and captivating.

It's making me want to see more epic pieces like this, not necessarily musicals, but an epic story/adventure. Similar to Gladiator!

I thought Hugh Jackman would be my favourite character (Jean Valjean) but I really enjoyed Russell Crowe (Jalvert). Especially him near the end, it felt so powerful and emotional.

I'm going to try to edit this for YouTube and see what kind of hassle it is to do. That being said, if it's not an absolutely hellish experience, I'll be watching more musicals for sure!

Thank you Brad for this reactr request though, it was absolutely a grand and amazing adventure 🤩

For this style of reaction, you need your own copy to watch the movie.  You can set picture in picture by right clicking twice on the video and selecting "Picture in picture". The right clicking twice is a bit tricky, because you have to right click, then move your cursor so it's not on the menu, then right click again

Thank you so much for being here and watching along with me!!

FULL LENGTH REACTION | Les Misérables (2012) [2025]

Reminder that you need your own copy of the movie to watch along with me since this is solely my reaction. The video is there so you can have an idea when the scene changes in case you need to sync up, but it is HEAVILY blurred so I don't have any copyright issues. Enjoy!!

THRILLED to see this! I’ve worked on the live musical in various capacities on 4 different occasions, and it’s safe to say it’s my favorite, and I’ll go back anytime I’m asked😂! Can’t wait to check it out when I get home!!

Russell Crowe was okay, but he wasn't a standout like Anne Hathaway was. Were it a straight adaptation of the novel, he'd be a decent Javert, but as an adaptation of the musical, I'm sure there were better options available. For comparison, you should watch Philip Quast at the 10th anniversary concert. The bishop was played by Colm Wilkinson, the original Valjean on both the West End and Broadway, and a lot of the small supporting roles are played by recognizable Broadway and WE regulars.

I love this one so much, Vero! 🥖 In fairness, I love most musicals. This was the first one I ever saw actually on Broadway.

Will be waiting/hoping for the YT edit! (as watchalongs sadly don’t work well for me)

Enjoyed the watch-along. If you're interested in a deeper look at how they did the recordings (and how they stack up against more "normal" performances) there's a fellow named Sideways that did a pretty good video on it at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1ikqU6G6Xgs Just make sure you've got time for it, because it's like 40 minutes long. lol

Great reaction. Everyone loves a good character redemption arc story.

Am I the only one who notices how TINY Eponine’s waist is! I know everyone’s hungry.. but WOW! If it’s done with CGI.. I don’t understand why.. I think Eponine, the grown up version, was a stand out role done superbly by this actor/singer BRAVO!

If you want a movie closer to the novel.. ‘Les Miserables’ (1998) is a good watch; starring Liam Neeson, Uma Thurman and Claire Danes. In particular it better explains how ValJean transfers ownership of the factory to his workers before making his escape to Paris.

Liam Neeson stars in the new ‘Police Squad’ (2025) in theatres on August 1st.. looks like fun!

Who ever made this happen thanks, I love this movie, its so great, I will never understand why this movie gets hate, ofc its not perfect but comparing movie actors to the best stage actors/singers is just crazy. I am glad you enjoyed it!

People will always hate things when it's not exactly what they want. Every single movie I watch always has comments that say the movie is terrible or whatever. The real winners are those of us who can enjoy it!!

I resubbed to see this. Thank you so much The music in this means a lot to me. I performed in this in a community audition choir, and my family loved the music as much as I did. For Christmas, one of my artistic kids made a picture book of this for me, and it is one of my treasured possessions. So, we sing and listen to this music a lot. When someone new asks us to know what this music is, we tell them. If they want to see it, we ask them if they want the story, or do they want the music. If they want the story, we watch this movie - the story is easy to follow, and the performers are actors first, and singers second. If they want to hear the music, we watch one of the music productions so they hear the gloriousness of this music and the performers are singers first, and actors second. I am glad both of them exist as they tell the story different ways. If you like this music, I know you would love to give a listen to a stage production, maybe not for the channel, but for your own enjoyment. My favorite is the 10th anniversary as it is the one I know, but the 25th anniversary show is much more recent and is easier to get a hold of, and is almost as good. :)

I love just how much this music means to you, thank you so much for sharing!!! I'd love to see a live production of it, but I can start out with the stage productions more easily available since the music is just so amazing! I've listened to quite a few songs in the background after watching this, it's so moving!! I'm glad you enjoyed the reaction!!
