Again, the amazing monologue!!

I absolutely love Theo, she is fascinating and grounded but also, oh wow.

And the car rides over?! Both are perfect and needed. There is FINALLY good communication!!! I will always be happy for that.

I am so worried about Luke, especially after what Dad had to say. And the fact that things are WAY more messed up than we previously thought, holy crap!!

The story is masterful, and I cannot help but want to rewatch it after I finish 😅

For this style of reaction, you need your own copy to watch along.  You can set picture in picture by right clicking twice on the video and selecting "Picture in picture". The right clicking twice is a bit tricky, because you have to right click, then move your cursor so it's not on the menu, then right click again

Thank you so much everyone for being here!! 🤩

FULL LENGTH - The Haunting of Hill House Season 1 Episode 8 - Witness Marks

You need your own copy of the show to watch along with me though since this is solely my reaction. The video is there so you can have an idea when the scene changes in case you need to sync up, but it is HEAVILY blurred so I don't have any copyright issues. Enjoy!!

Thanks, Véro! 😱 Now, you've seen one of the greatest jump-scares, ever.

Another episode, another great monologue. That scene put me through an emotional rollercoaster worthy of Arcane...😅 First all the fighting, then this jumpscare that made me throw my soda cup in the air (thank god it was already empty 😂) and then Theos heartbraking monologue, where she very precisely described what a depression feels like. It was so exceptionally well acted. Not just Kate Siegels outgoing highly emotional pleading, but also Elizabeth Reasers very subtle but no less intense reaction to it. You can see her inner walls crumbling down with every word she hears. I saw Nell scaring her sisters as her still looking out for them. She felt the need to intervene when they wouldn't stop fighting. Even at the risk of giving them a heart attack...😅 This was probably the most effective jumpscare I've ever seen. FUN FACT: Mike Flanagan told Victoria Pedretti to jump forward earlier in the scene than she did in the rehearsals, so you're seeing two actresses who were actually nearly scared to death by her...😅🙈 This episode it was my turn to be pissed off by Steve. Even when I watched this show for the first time with my wife, I was defending Steve from the beginning, not knowing how it all would play out. I was pleading for understanding him and his situation and acting out in a way that pisses off everyone, cause Michiel Huisman played him with this underlaying silent sense of pain and desperation and hurt. But not telling your love that you're sterilized, even knowing she wants to have children - that's a real dick move. I can totally understand Leigh for not forgiving him. She must feel so betrayed and robbed of her best years to have children (given that they're both in their late thirties when Steve finally tells her the truth). For Steve and Shirley it would have been better if their dad had talked to them then, but hindsight is always 20/20, right...😅 We as viewers knew that Luke would go to the house, but he could have sold the card on the black market to people who know how to hack them, that would have given him enough money to by some shots, so Shirley wasn't totally off base with her guesses...🤔 Looking forward to next Monday and another fun day at Hill House...😉😄

I like the mirroring of scenes. like Theo and Shirley's scenes of banging on the walls.. Halloween night and Shirley does outside screaming mad, scares Theo. then the walls bang. at Hill House, it's Theo who barges in screaming mad. then the walls bang.
