Another sibling!!! 🤩🤩

Such a beautiful, heartbreaking, frustrating and revealing episode. Honestly, I love all of these actors, they have made the characters so different, and so many of them elicit strong emotions from me.

We're getting information about the house, and I'm loving it!!

This is so incredibly well made!

What is your favourite sibling story so far?

For this style of reaction, you need your own copy to watch along.  You can set picture in picture by right clicking twice on the video and selecting "Picture in picture". The right clicking twice is a bit tricky, because you have to right click, then move your cursor so it's not on the menu, then right click again

Thank you so much everyone for being here!! 🤩

FULL LENGTH - The Haunting of Hill House Season 1 Episode 5 - The Bent-Neck Lady

You need your own copy of the show to watch along with me though since this is solely my reaction. The video is there so you can have an idea when the scene changes in case you need to sync up, but it is HEAVILY blurred so I don't have any copyright issues. Enjoy!!

What a great episode. I actually forgot how incredibly tragic and scary it was. Nell is my favorite character, her story is so heartbreaking. 😭 Most of all because no one listened to her, when she tried to reach out. Steve and her were just lashing out against each other. Luke just needed his next fix. That was the most tragic for me: She was so desperate for someone to listen to her and help her, that she let herself get talked into buying drugs for her brother, fully knowing that it would only make things worse. Luke did to her what Joey did to him, using a loved (or liked) one to get to the next fix...😨 Theo was annoyed by her desperation over the loss of her beloved husband, instead of helping her. (That's Theos coping mechanism, the cynical and bitter facade she's hiding behind for most of her life.) Even her parents early on dismissed her stories as nightmares or fantasies. I would guess Nells loneliness and her depression made her especially vulnerable to the call of the house. In the end scene I see two things: Firstly, it is like the horror version of "life flashing before your eyes" and secondly, the fact that her younger self sees herself in her final moments is kind of like a warning to younger Nell, to not return to the house. 🤔 Bent-Neck-Lady always showed up on tragic points of her life, like the night they had to leave the house, when she stayed at the motel where their dad brought them that night, when Luke took his fix or when her husband died. My guess (but it is a wild guess) is, that was the way she looked at her life, full of failures or tragic events, with the exception of her marriage, where Bent-Neck-Lady was nowhere to be seen. 🤔🙈 Did her husband die from an aneurism? I think yes. Now that we know she always saw herself, you can see that she was always there to witness things again, but never actively interfered. I would say the death of the love of her life pushed her back into the pit of depression she just climbed out of. And her family turned their backs on her instead of reading the signs and trying to help her. Luke was probably the only one who had an idea how Nell was feeling, but he was in no condition to be of any help. Puuh, that made me really tear up. 🙈 And amidst all the heartbreak Mike Flanaghan took his time to plant the lighthearted, adorably funny moment of Steve and Nell watching Shirley realizing that their sister is a lesbian...😂😢 I promise you, every question you have will be answered...😊 At last, I have a question for you: What are your thoughts on Abigail? What do you make of her so far? Don't worry, I will not answer to your answer, as to not give you an accidental expectation spoiler, I'm just curious, because you talked a lot about the Dudleys and everyone else on the periphery, but not about her...🤔 Great reaction as always, can't wait for the next one... 🙂

Asking if Nell is going to 'hang out' with the ghosts was diabolical, holy moly Vero loooooool Another channel recently started this series and they opened the video with 'Are you ready to get scared?'. The first comment I saw was 'Are you ready to cry?' and damn if they aren't right. This show is so tragic!
