The amount of unhinged moments in this is, in a way, hilarious.

The business cards?! The axe?! THE CHAINSAW?!?! 😅

What a mess haha 😏

I hope you enjoy!

Ah yes, good pick! A heartwarming tale of self improvement, networking, video tapes, and murder. 🩸🪓 ...I can't wait to see your reaction when Bateman starts monologuing.

lol the business card scene never fails to make me laugh. I love how deadly serious the soundtrack is as well. Every time someone pulls out a business card the sound effect you hear is of a katana sword being unsheathed btw.

"Acquisitions" is misspelled on all their cards.

oh wow, I really like this movie 🙂 I don't actually remember if I've seen your full version. It's such a funny movie I feel. lol the funny music references... it's totally hilarious. He says some funny things that can't be true... like he references Huxtable lol... which is the character in The Cosby show. It's like Austin Powers calling himself Richie Cunningham 😅 except he's not psyho... one of them is not psycho lol. Richie Cunningham is the foil to the character The Fonz. "Pale nimbus..." lol I'm seeing your reaction to the axe scene as I type... 😶 It's written with such humor...! It's gotta be partially accidental how epic it is! I can't even begin to figure out how to write about this in a class. (more in the reply)

Here's a fun anecdote, A psychologist describes one scene. "Here Patrick Bateman is talking about music but doesn't he sound like he just read some music review in a magazine and he's just performing as if it's his own opinions?" Okay even if that were true on the page... But with Christian Bales performance, his take on it and how he plays it is so funny. It's like he's winking at the audience at how absurd it all is, at how serious he is making it out to be... And the seriousness in his character is without a gap... there is no crack in that facade... but somehow we all know that is the joke! It's either genius comedy or a simple portrayal of sociopathy?! Come on it's so good! 😆

Vero - can we trust that you haven't gone out into the world after this experience with a renewed interest in Huey Lewis & the News?? Bad sign if so, may I say...
