This song is such a bop!! I can see why they were catapulted by singing that thing you do 😏

I would have loved to have seen Tom Hanks as one of the musicians though, and the drummer resembles him a bit. I didn't remember what year the movie came out, so I thought maybe it was him when he was much younger 🤣

The right clicking twice is a bit tricky, because you have to right click, then move your cursor so it's not on the menu, then right click again

You need your own copy of the show to watch along with me though since this is solely my reaction. The video is there so you can have an idea when the scene changes in case you need to sync up, but it is HEAVILY blurred so I don't have any copyright issues. Enjoy!!

This film reminds me of my band days. I’m a drummer and grew up playing in bands. The biggest we got was opening up for Gym Class Hero’s, but then I got kicked out for the most cliche reason - drugs 😬😬😬 (clean for many years now). It’s such an amazing feeling being in the groove and just feeling the music. You get to a point where you don’t have to think about what you’re doing you just do it. You can just sing along and not have to look at where your sticks are going because it’s all muscle memory and feeling. The drums are fun because you’re sort of the “skeleton” of the song - everything else revolves around you and your beat. And you’re absolutely right - That Thing you Do is so damn catchy! I thought the movie was fairly vanilla and mediocre however. I suppose it works as just a fun movie that isn’t very deep and doesn’t pretend to be.
