Well this one's a doozy.

A masterclass in acting, storytelling and directing. It's a beautiful (looking) film, dancing through a world where friendship has changed.

All three main actors are perfect, and I like how each character was very clearly defined when they were even just kids.

For this style of reaction, you need your own copy to watch the movie.  You can set picture in picture by right clicking twice on the video and selecting "Picture in picture". The right clicking twice is a bit tricky, because you have to right click, then move your cursor so it's not on the menu, then right click again

Thank you so much for being here!!

FULL LENGTH REACTION | Mystic River (2003) [2026]

You need your own copy of the media to watch along with me though since this is solely my reaction. The video is there so you can have an idea when the scene changes in case you need to sync up, but it is HEAVILY blurred so I don't have any copyright issues. Enjoy!!

Lana Gorgeous

I am so glad you had an opportunity to watch this, I saw it in the movies when it first came out and it totally destroyed me. Some moves one can watch a few times after the original showing and I don't mind sad movies and having a good cry like Client Eastwood's Million Dollar Baby or 1954, Lana Turner movie, Imitation of Life or even Titanic. But the way this movie ended was crushing, and being a survivor couldn't go through that again, but I did enjoy your end of movie synopsis and commentary.

Carol Rocha

This is an awesome movie. 🎥

Jimmy’s anger & thirst for what he thought was vengeance just wouldn’t wait. 😢😢truly very sad. Dave was a victim all his life. 😢

Mister Lou

Dave mixing up his words not just because he's traumatized, but because he was completely wasted from all day drinking.. poor Dave, the most tragic character in this besides the young victim, of course.

Romero Cetera Rivers

Clint Eastwood doesn't just tell a story; he transmutes pain into a kind of rapture, treating the streets of Boston like the stage of a Shakespearean Greek tragedy, where the past is a ghost that refuses to be buried. He has a such remarkable way of finding beauty in the darkness, by making the characters internal grief feel almost intimate. 🌊
