Thank you for this magnificent reactr request!!

Movie length: 1h39m14s

PEGASUS!! 🤩

Another animated movie that is a load of fun, and really well done! I just love a wholesome character that is just so good to people around them.

Our hero with his trusted sidekick 🤩

Also, as expected, the music is so good and adds such a great element to the film 🥰

For this style of reaction, you need your own copy to watch the movie.  You can set picture in picture by right clicking twice on the video and selecting "Picture in picture". The right clicking twice is a bit tricky, because you have to right click, then move your cursor so it's not on the menu, then right click again

Thank you so much for being here!!

You need your own copy of the media to watch along with me though since this is solely my reaction. The video is there so you can have an idea when the scene changes in case you need to sync up, but it is HEAVILY blurred so I don't have any copyright issues. Enjoy!!

I saw this movie in theaters. I have always loved this movie. This version of Hercules is kinda a mixture of Superman and Rocky. Charlton Heston, best known for his roles in the Ten Commandments and Planet of the Apes (1968), is the narrator we hear at the beginning. The Spice Girls were who the crew originally wanted to play the Muses, however due to scheduling conflicts they couldn’t do it. Interesting factoid is that Meg is cousins to Oedipus, who is featured in the Oedipus Rex by Sophocles is the play she and Hercules go and see. That is maybe why Meg is kinda uncomfortable with it. Meg’s father is Creon King of Thebes, so Meg should technically be a Disney Princess, however she isn’t. They took a lot of liberties with the original Greek myth. In the original myth, Hera is Hercules’ step mother and hates him with a burning passion. Hera goes out of way to make Hercules’ life a living hell. Hercules is the son of Zeus and a mortal woman. In the myth, Hercules and Meg get married and have two kids and live happily until Hera causes Hercules to go mad, because she hates him, and he ends up killing her and the kids. In order to atone for this he has to perform the 12 labors. Phil’s two word for Hercules ( I am Retired) are actually two words in Greek. I should mention that the Cerberus is not supposed to keep people out of Hades, but to keep souls in, anyone dumb enough to walk into Hades gets exactly what’s coming. The Fates in this movie are a combination of the Fates and the Graeae sisters, who share an eye, in Greek mythology

You should check out the 2014 live action version of Hercules, which is played by an actor known by another word for "stone".... lol

I love the music in this movie! Meg's song is probably my favorite, very catchy.

Thanks, Véro! 🏛️ Yes, 'Heracles' and 'Hercules" are more-or-less the same character. The Greeks called him 'Heracles' and saw him as more tragic while the Romans called him 'Hercules' and painted him as more heroic. So, even though this animated tale is from the Greek perspective, they're borrowing the Roman spin.
