OOOOOOOHHHH boy!!!!

Movie length: 2h45m42s

What an absolutely unhinged movie!

I'm REALLY enjoying Tarantino movies, and the stories they tell us. Christoph Waltz is splendid, I love seeing him in movies 🤩

A story of friendship, revenge and betrayal. 3 fantastic ingredients!

For this style of reaction, you need your own copy to watch the movie.  You can set picture in picture by right clicking twice on the video and selecting "Picture in picture". The right clicking twice is a bit tricky, because you have to right click, then move your cursor so it's not on the menu, then right click again

Thank you so much for being here!!

FULL LENGTH REACTION | Django unchained (2012) [2026]

You need your own copy of the media to watch along with me though since this is solely my reaction. The video is there so you can have an idea when the scene changes in case you need to sync up, but it is HEAVILY blurred so I don't have any copyright issues. Enjoy!!

I like seeing actors demonstrating some versatility. It's fun seeing Don Johnson and Leo DiCaprio portray over the top slave-owning plantation owners. EDIT: Sam Jackson isn't the only actor with repeat Tarentino appearances in this film. The scene when Calvin Candie's hired goons run along the upper level to look down at Django reminds me of "Kill Bill Volume 1" when the Crazy 88s did something similar.

I'm glad you liked this movie, since it is my favorite Tarantino movie so far. Everyone who was involved in making it was at their best game...😍 Leo cutting his hand is one of the most well known trivia facts of movie history, along with Viggo Mortensen breaking his toe when he kicked the orc-helmet...😂 The "friendly participation" referred to Franco Nero, a very popular italian actor. He had his guest appearance as the italian slaver during the Mandingo fight. He famously played the original Django in several spaghetti western(s?). I love his little dialogue with Django, of course he knew the "D" was silent...😁 Plotwise both movies have nothing in common, besides the genre, the name and the revenge theme. The song "Django" was also the original title song of the first Django movie. Whoever taught Kerry Washington the german dialogue for this movie did a great job. She spoke with heavy accent, but correct in grammar and pronounciation, just like you would expect it from someone who is not a native speaker and doesn't use it very often anymore. It so much better than you usual hear in Hollywood movies...🤩 Once Dr. King Schultz realized how dumb Calvin Candie actually is he can't resist to humiliate him. See, Alexandre Dumas was not black. It just confirmed the vast ignorance Calvin Candie showed towards life, culture and education. No wonder Steven was running the house, he outsmarted Calvin Candie in every way. Calvin Candie mirrors certain world leaders of now, as he is dumb and powerful and can be easily manipulated by the smart people in the second row. The most dangerous combination possible...🙈 I think every A-list Hollwood actor/actress who is worth their 8 digits salary check should have a villain in their portfolio. Leonardo DiCaprio gave it a good try, as did Samuel Jackson. The final song is called "Trinita:titoli" and is the title song of my absolutely favorite spaghetti western "They called him Tinity" (I think this is the english title...😅). Even though it got a small US-release, it's not well known in North America, but was a huge hit over here in middle and western Europe in the 70ies. I nearly fell out of my chair in the cinema when I suddenly heard one of my favorite childhood songs in a Tarantino movie...😅😍 Next Tarantino movie: If you want to stay in the western genre "The Hateful Eight", otherwise "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood"...😊

For the Kill Bill movies (Vol 1 & 2), remember they’re the same story split into two. A few months ago, Tarantino released Kill Bill; The Whole Bloody Affair, which is basically an almost 4 hour cut of Vol’s 1 & 2. I had the pleasure of seeing the updated version back in December in theaters. It was probably one of the fascinating experiences I’ve seen after years of only watching the two separately. Here is what I would suggest you do. When you finally get to Kill Bill, (for the channel) watch both separately. Then if you feel you’re up for task, I highly recommend you watch the four hour cut. I know how you feel about movies over 3 hours , but I would make an exception for this one.
