Happy Monday everyone!!

I strained something in my hand this weekend, so typing and using my PC is not very fun 😅

We had a FANTASTIC start to the decades movies last week with Double Indemnity, this week we continue with 2 more; 1950 and 1960!!!

Here is the plan:

1940s - Double Indemnity1950s - A Streetcar Named Desire1960s - Dr. Strangelove1970s - Smokey and the Bandit1980s - The NeverEnding Story1990s - The Talented Mr. Ripley2000s - No Country for Old Men2010s - Sicario2020s - Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery

We'll also be having a poll this week to figure out which TV franchise to start next, now that Star Wars is over (I'll still watch the new Star Wars series/movies that come out!)

The winner of the Stephen King poll is....

Stand By Me (1986)

Keep an eye out for that one (I have 0 information at all about this one, not even any actors, or genre, so this will be FUN!!)

This week on PATREON!!

⭐Monday: Stranger Things S3 E8 - This season finale had a lot of sad moments and heartbreak 😭

⭐Tuesday: Poll for which TV series to start!! - This will be a long running series/franchise. I don't know if I'm ready to tackle something like Doctor Who yet, but that's what tonight is for... planning that poll!

⭐Wednesday: A Streetcar Named Desire (1951) - My 1950s pick with a young Marlon Brando!

⭐Thursday: Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned To Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb (1964) - My 1960s pick; a Kubrick film with a very, VERY long title!!

⭐Friday: [Early Access] Deepwater Horizon (2016) - The edit will be up on YT Saturday! (if no copyright issues or course 😒

⭐Sunday: Perhaps episode 1 of a new series?!

This week on Verowak Reacts

⭐Saturday: Deepwater Horizon (2016) - A well made movie on a practical set, which is VERY impressive!

This week on Verowak On TV

⭐Monday: Andor S2 E10/E11/E12 (ARC4) - One of my favourite TV series ever. Andor is simply fantastic 🥰

⭐Thursday: Stranger Things S1 E4 - I love how we get a bit more information every episode. It's so damn captivating!!

I edited the post, but in case you missed the edit: The winner of the Stephen King poll is.... Stand By Me (1986) Which is a surprise since I only heard about it like a week before I made the poll 😅 Misery (2nd), Carrie (3rd) and The Mist (4th) had similar votes, so all three are on my radar!

Sorry for the double comment if you already saw my other one on your Maul Shadow Lord Post, but you should include The Expanse in the poll as well if you haven’t already—it’s easily one of the greatest sci-fi shows ever made. It’s based on a series of books and is especially popular among reaction channels the past couple years. It’s often described as the “Game of Thrones of space,” which I think is a very unimaginative description; however, the political intrigue and space battles are extremely well done. The writing is also just fantastic, with so many deep, memorable, and quotable moments. In my opinion Andor and The Expanse are the shining stars of space shows. The show has 6 seasons. It was canceled before season 3 aired, but Amazon Prime picked it up and increased the budget for seasons 4-6—though it already looked great before that. The first few episodes can feel a bit slow for some people due to heavy world-building, but there’s a lot to set up. The end of Book 1 happens near the beginning of Season 2, so the pacing ultimately feels earned and the payoff is worth it. One thing that really sets it apart is its realism. There’s no physics-defying technology—ships only have gravity when accelerating or spinning, there are no magic space shields, and there are no aliens. Not that those elements are bad, but their absence makes the show feel wholly unique among sci-fi shows and movies. NO SPOILERS BELOW—LITERALLY THE FIRST WORDS ON SCREEN OF THE FIRST EPISODE The basic premise of the show is that it is our future, where the UN controls Earth and Mars is an independent military power that broke away from Earth, and Belters are the people in the asteroid belt that both planets rely on and step on.
