Thank you SO MUCH for voting on the TV poll everyone, it was very eye opening to see the interest in all of the series.

Like I stated in the poll, it was not a guarantee that I would watch the winner, but I'm keeping track of the results for the future.

I've spent a long time flip flopping back and forth on which series to tackle next and it was NOT easy!

⭐Star Wars Sunday will be replaced with... Stargate Sundays!! 🤣

First reaction will be up May 24th 2026. Same Wak time, same Wak channel 😏

The Plan 📝

I'll be rewatching the movie before I start the series, just as a refresher, then I have "Children of the Gods" part 1 and 2 (I know there's a Final Cut, which is edited to be different than parts 1 and 2, but it doesn't seem to be available anywhere. So unless there is a VERY good reason to watch the Final Cut, I'll be watching parts 1 and 2).

There's also Stargate Atlantis, that I remember starts while SG-1 is still ongoing, so that will be interesting when we get to that.

There's also Universe, which we'll figure out if we watch when we get there (just because I've heard VERY mixed reviews, but it's only 2 seasons so it may be fine).

Other TV series related news

I'm planning on starting a shorter running series in June, which will be 1-2 seasons long. This way, we'll have 1 long running franchise, 1 medium series and 1 short series 😁

**Please note that there are certain tv series that are not available on streaming services in Canada, which royally sucks, so I tend to push those off, hoping they become available.

I'm excited to start this new adventure with everyone!! 🥰

A holy crap I can't believe Stargate won out okay if you haven't seen it yet I highly recommend watching the movie first then going into the series

Oh hell yes! This is seriously a long term investment but I love this series so much. The lore is incredibly deep and rich, the action is consistently fun, and it's always exploring new ideas. There are a few filler episodes here and there especially early on but when the series gets going it doesn't stop. And Stargate Universe is very worth watching especially after the first two IMO. It had mixed reviews just because it was a major tone shift and some fans compared it to Battlestar Galactica, but I think it had some really quality episodes and the plot was definitely starting to get uniquely intriguing before it was cancelled.

Will you be starting halfway through, aa the photo suggests

Whoa this is amazing! Can't wait. Starting a watch of the full franchise now may actually line up nicely with the new Stargate series recently greenlit at Amazon MGM, which by all accounts will exist in the same universe as the shows (they're supposed to begin production this fall). FWIW Children of the Gods Final Cut is actually on pluto.tv for free, at least in the US. *But*, for a first time viewer, you may as well start with the original version, like the rest of us (had to). Just know if there's anything that feels cringey (or slow or confusing) while watching, the creators most likely fixed that in the final cut. I'll also refer back to my comment in the movie reaction -- https://www.patreon.com/posts/stargate-1994-92471585#comment-155560869 -- I linked a few google spreadsheet, one with the best watch order, which you won't need till season 8, and the generally 'skippable' episodes, which might at least help in giving a 'meh' review on certain eps (or in other words, even the hardcore fans agree there are some clunkers, especially early on).

I wouldn't bother watching final cut till after SG-1, it's honestly in my opinion not as a good as the original 18 rated TV version.

Yes! Thank you Vero for being one of the few tractors taking on SG-1. One thing to say to you... you really don't have to watch the film at all never mind twice. I started watching SG-1 not long after it first came out and I didn't even know there was a film. The series is designed to A. Assume you have never seen the film, and B. Retcon big chunks of the film's lore. This was due to different writers and the fact this was planned to be a long TV series. But SG-1 for most of its run is one of the greatest ever television shows in my humble opinion. Also, the cast will NOT disappoint with their performances.

Awesome! Such a great show and I think you're going to love it a lot!

I get to experience this completely fresh just like you Vero, so I’m looking forward to such a highly rated show. Despite being a big fan of the movie the only Stargate TV show I watched was Universe (which I quite enjoyed).

A one to two season series? 🤞🏽 for Twin Peaks

Fantastic. Stragate SG-1 is definitely a fantastic series. One of the greatest Sci-Fi series ever. I've watched the entire thing several times and am looking forward to seeing your reactions.
