Fun fact I play little game anytime I see notification saying that you're uploaded something and it's not something I'm familiar with I don't click on it until it figure it out and I'm glad to see it took me two guesses to you see it was DuckTales

The Akimbo Knight

You are actually jumping in at the perfect time for this, because Mosco's only a few episodes in are ya'll can discus and theorize to your hearts content

Phineas97024

This is the perfect show to replace Gravity Falls. Engaging mysteries, brilliant comedy, likable characters, and best of all, you can talk about this show with Mosco😉 You’re in for wild ride, Elijah. Hope you enjoy. Woo-oo! P.S. Mrs. Beakley is voiced by Mel from Arcane P.P.S. I didn’t take you for an Assassin’s Creed fan. Respect 🫡

xattygt

Duck tales and she ra are basically the only 2 reboots to ever be better than the original

Max

This was not a reaction I was expecting but I am so glad you're reacting to this show and I am very excited to see this all the way through !!

Thunter

The Assassin’s Creed fan caught me off guard too… honestly pretty sick

Kev Rink

I was so happy to see this. I know I was at least one of the people who suggested it. I missed the poll, but I'm glad it won. As for everyone watching, PLEASE don't tell her stuff that could ruin certain moments for her. Someone told her to notice that the handprint on the journals in Gravity Falls had six fingers and that spoiled her on the disguised shapeshifter not being the author. She already knew because someone told her about the fingers. Just let her watch the show and notice what she will. She's really good at noticing background details

Elias Cristerna

I'm pretty sure Launchpad McQuack's VA was in Nimona as that jerky knight dude with the punchable face. Also I'm surprised you didn't seem to notice Dana Terence's name among the credits.

crazycreature studios

So glad you’re reacting to this! It’s one of my favorite shows and I can’t wait to your reactions to things!

PB

yay!!! not a ton of folks react to ducktales, which makes me sad because it’s my absolute favorite! So excited to see you and Mosco uncover the little mysteries :3

David Johnson

All your questions - and many more you don't even know you have yet - will be answered...eventually. This show has nods to the original 80s show and to the Carls Barks comics that created Scrooge and this world.

SreznoJIG07

Loved your reaction, Elijah! Man, I did not expect you to be a fan of Assassins Creed. Welcome to the club! 😃 Anyway, did you know that Dana Terrance (the creator of The Owl House) is one of the animators of the Ducktales reboot? 😊

Flufux

When Launchpad starts talking 'Swedish', I, who happened to be Swedish myself, didn't understand a word he was saying. Maybe he was saying something about 'fish balls', but not even that was said correctly, since in Swedish, the direct translation would be 'fish buns', not 'balls'. Oh, and in the Swedish dub of this episode, he starts talking Norwegian instead...and he does that way better than the English version does Swedish.

Bailey

Oh sweet, Ducktales! I've been meaning to watch this show for a while but haven't gotten around to it. Maybe you and Moscoe both reacting to it is a sign I should finally watch it... Also that little plushy at the start was adorable, and your braids look really nice! Also also happy Pride! Also x3, I didn't know you were an Assassin's Creed fan too, that's pretty cool! Edit: Wait, so if Scroodge is their great uncle, then... I'm calling him Grunkle Scroodge Edit 2: oh shoot, Hilda reactions soon? I'm excited for that! I love that show!

Joshua Gwinnell

Omg I’m so happy that you’re watching this Elijah I love this series so much 🤩😎

Matthew Dunne

I'm surprised Elijah didn't notice Kate Micucci as Webbie. I mean, it's not been that many years since Steven Universe, right?

Joey Quixote

Welcome to Duckburg! You're gonna have a lot of fun with this show. Now we just gotta get Morgan on the train. A perfect case of the reboot being better than the original series. The boys all have their own personalities. Webby isn't just "the girl character". Beakley is more than the doting housekeeper. Heck, most of the characters have added layers in this series. There's plot. I could go on. Lotta cameos and voices you'll recognize. Looking forward to you meeting certain ones (one in particular). And yeah, surprisingly Scottish. Lot of cultural references and jokes from that region.

Ryan

He's on Saturday Night Live, where he always plays the "big dumb guy," as he himself puts it.

Ryan

David Tennant isn't using his natural accent here; it's a voice he first used in the Doctor Who episode Tooth and Claw as a spoof of when English people try to do a Scottish accent, and it just fits for a cartoon character like this.

Ryan

"Is there a reason for all the Scottish ducks?" In the original comics Glomgold was South African, but when the first cartoon was made in the '80s, that would have brought up a ton of stuff about Apartheid that they really didn't want to get into, so they just made him Scottish like Scrooge. And since that's the version most people know now, this show just stuck with it.

Dieter Hornach

Yay here we go! Woohoo!!!! Glad this amazing show reaches another of my favorite reactors. This is my best comfort show bc as you said its just lighthearted fun

og.monstr

Hand on heart, I'm more interested in watching Elijah's reaction than the actual show itself. If you like the reboot, that's cool, but personally I don't think it beats the '87 show. (Cringe though it can be. After all, it's an 80s cartoon.) Then again, I'm always going to be comparing and contrasting animated Duckverse adaptations to the comic books, which isn't fair towards the cartoons. I recommend checking the comics out - especially those made by Carl Barks, Don Rosa and Marco Rota - but that's a backlog going back all he way to the 1940s, SOOOO...

Terrell

does the old show even have an ongoing story?

og.monstr

There's the five parter pilot, and there were some multi-part episodes now and then as the seasons went on. But it didn't have an overarching plotline like contemporary Disney shows. So in fairness, DT '87 and DT 2017 are different beasts.

Connor Watson

I’m surprised Elijah didn’t noticed a certain show creator she is familiar with in the credits

Matthew

Looks like a fun show! David Tennant is one of my favorite actors.

Marisa Maribel

I’m so excited for you to be watching this show, it’s so good and so cute! It quickly became one of my favorites when it first came out! And while I love all the main characters, Louie is my favorite. Every time you said McScrooge, I cracked up. And lastly, about the part at about 50 minutes: gold is heavy enough that most of it would not be sucked up by the water vacuum, so it’s not really fair to say “Fuck logic in this show”. There may be some cartoon logic, like Scrooge’s classic jumping into piles of gold bit that he’s been doing for almost a hundred years, basically since he was first introduced as a character. But this example isn’t illogical, because it wouldn’t suck all the gold up in real life either.

Marisa Maribel

I’m pretty sure it was supposed to just sound like Swedish to people and characters that don’t actually know Swedish. Not be actual Swedish. You know, like the Swedish Chef from The Muppets. Because Launchpad doesn’t actually know Swedish, he was just speaking gibberish because of the snake venom, and it happened to sound convincing enough to the untrained ear to sell Webby’s lie. I’m pretty positive this was the intention. So while it makes sense to not have it be Swedish in the Swedish dub, him speaking actual Norwegian doesn’t line up with the original gag. It’s still a funny change, but I really don’t think this was a mistake or failing on the original English version. And I’m not saying Swedish itself sounds like gibberish btw. You can make any language sound like gibberish(including English) if you have the phonics for it right, but don’t say any actual words in that language.

FullmetalNinja25

I'm surprised you didn't recognize Kate Miccuchi when you read the credits, its Sadie from Steven Universe!

AnakiK

Loved this video! Elijah has a very similar sense of humor to mine, and I always laugh at the same things when I watch this. Also, Scrooge is now forever McScrooge.

Rebecca Kronenfeld

Fun fact: Dana Terrace directed a number of episodes of the first season of the show, including this extra length pilot.

Anzac-A1

Maybe have subtitles on for future DT reactions? Just to help understand Donald better.

Anzac-A1

Donald's black outfit from Glomgold is actually his original comicbook outfit. His blue outfit is much more modern.

Matthew Dunne

By the way, in case it needs to be said, the bit with the marbles is a gag calling back to the original show, where the triplets tended to use them as an all-purpose tool for solving problems. So it's setting up as though Dewey is going to do something clever, only to be amusingly blunt.

Marisa Maribel

He had a blue outfit in his first cartoon appearances, starting with The Wise Little Hen, which came out a little bit before the comics. So the blue isn’t really the modern one, considering it’s his classic outfit. Although his technical first appearance was in a storybook, but he looked completely different and was wearing green there. So that doesn’t really count, in my opinion. That said, I like his black outfit from the comics best, and I’m glad this show went with it over his blue one.
