ELIJAH YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW HAPPY SEEING THIS NOTIFICATION HAS MADE ME YEEEESSSSS!!!

SauceyRed

I'm so fucking EXCITED right now AHHHHH!

SauceyRed

We need a Hilda channel in the Discord, STAT!

FullmetalNinja25

Hilda is played by Bella Ramsey who was Lyanna Mormont in Game Of Thrones and is Ellie in HBO's adaptation of The Last Of Us.

YNB

So excited, love this show. If you are familiar with Bella Ramsey, they are the voice of Hilda

FullmetalNinja25

Piggybacking off my Comment about Hilda being played by Bella Ramsey, Bella goes by They/Them just letting you know in case you ever discuss them during a future Reaction.

SauceyRed

14:42 Settlers of Catan?

The start of the video triggered my cynophobia a bit more than I was prepared for. Anyway, good to see this show being reacted to. As a Swede, it is a very important show to me since most of creatures in it are based on Scandinavian folklore, like trolls and how they turn to stone in daylight and hate the sound of bells.

Lore is gradually dropped during the entire run of the show - indeed, that's what a lot of episodes are specifically about. But just know that Hilda's world is basically a modern world, but where magic and magical creatures are accepted as just part of it.

SauceyRed

Today I learned there's a phobia of dogs. Also, Norwegian here, it took me until one of the episodes with Kaisa where she said words that sounded very Scandinavian for me to realize it and look it up and learn that the show had a lot of stuff inspired by Scandinavian folklore. I honestly have never known much about our folklore, but it's cool to see.

This is one of my biggest comfort shows, it's so pretty and warm! I'm so glad reactors are noticing it bc it's criminally underrated

I've been super excited for this! Hilda is such a cute and comfy show, and one of the ones I've watched before (except I think season 3?). It's also always fun seeing Scandinavian folklore, especially in a more modern setting. It's like, what if all these mythical creatures were real and just a normal part of the world? There's a lot of the more well known creatures like trolls and elves, but there's also some more obscure thing too. And dang, why is Bella always so angy? She's adorable, but I'd probably feel a lil nervous around her lol

Terrell

I love grumpy dogs😂 Bella's kinda a mood

I was excited to see this show was voted on for you to watch, and I'm even more excited you've officially started! It's such a cute, comfortable show and the world building is excellent. In fact, I'd say the world building is the best part of this show, just about every episode delivers something in that regards. I look forward to seeing you love Hilda more and more as you progress it. :D P.S. And as you've already noticed, the music is phenomenal. The credits music is one of my favourite pieces.

So begins the life of an adventurer.

Best intro, here we go!!!

Might be an oddly specific bit of praise, but this first season ends with one of my favorite closing lines of dialogue from a show.

sydney!

Yay you started Hilda! I am super excited to see how you like the show!

I've been waiting for this moment since the poll announcement I can't believe it's finally here, can't wait for the next eps.

This one has been in my queue for years, and I've just never had a reason to dive in. When Mosco, and then you, announced you'd be reacting to it, I decided to finally start. I started this show last week amid a bunch of other shows and new episodes of other shows that I've been watching. Happy to announce, Hilda has quickly become my favorite thing that I am currently watching. Effortlessly binged the first season. It's cozy. It's delightful. It's beautiful. You're gonna love it. When I first reported in on your server, one of my first observations was that you were gonna want a Twig plushie. Yeah, he's a cutie. Can't wait for you to meet the rest of the main cast. Dunno if i have a "favorite" yet, but Hilda herself is great. "Brave" is probably the key word for her. And I absolutely love her Mum. Wonderful woman. You're gonna take to her too if you haven't already.

Carmen_the_Witch

I just started watching the show partially because you started reacting to it. Netflix has been telling me I should watch it for a while now and I decided now would be a good time. I am actually going to watch alongside you as you watch episodes. For example if you post an episode 2 reaction then I will watch episode 2 and then I will watch your reaction after. I did that for episode 1 just today and I kind of liked it. Thank you for doing all the good work that you do.

I Create Myself

I'm excited to see you and eventually Mosco reacting to Hilda. It's adorable and deserves more attention. :) Also, in case nobody else has mentioned, Hilda is voiced by Bella Ramsey, who is non-binary and uses they/them pronouns.

Literally subscribed to your Patreon again just so I can watch your full reactions to this show. This is a show I like a lot ^^

Sharing my headcanon about this show's setting by the way: Norway in the mid 90's (95 probably)... With fantastical creatures.
