No not Penny she was just a girl 😔

Symbolic Remnant

Alright Elijah, time for you to get jumped into the gang, initiated into the cult. We’re going to be sadistic bastards feeding off your suffering for the next couple weeks, but when it’s over, we’ll be there to lift you up with a Chibi spin-off series, and you will at last be truly one of us.

FullmetalNinja25

PvP is the Episode I always look forward to new reactors reaching.

Pain

Ha pain ….. you haven’t seen anything yet

Rachel Mae

Cinder up at midnight in her dorm at Beacon writing the first draft of her villain monologue in PvP: Professor Ozpin is the nastiest skank bitch I’ve ever met. DO NOT TRUST HIM! He is a fugly slut!!! Yuppp Adam and Blake were in a relationship before she left the White Fang. His exact age isn’t confirmed but he’s assumed to be around 4 ish years older than her (so like Cinder’s age) and their relationship started when she was in her mid-teens. So you know. you can make your own conclusions on the kind of guy he is And that’s not just any dragon…. That’s Kevin!!!

BrightHeart

And so you have finally met the Great Grimm Dragon... Kevin.

Verdant Crown

Pain indeed, the last two episodes are sure going to be something.

BrightHeart

okay time to add Groomer onto the many things to hate Adam for.

The Laughing Man

Unfortunately Penny cannot be brought back. Yes they can make another robot, but Penny was special. She was the only robot with an aura (a soul) so if they do make another Penny it will not be the same. She will not have the same personality or memories she will just be another robot. Also say hi to Kevin, the dragon grimm.

Verdant Crown

When you know the villains endgame for Beacon and Vale, watching the first three volumes kind of feels like seeing a slow but inevitable traincrash as the pieces of their plan gradually fall into place.

Flufux

'Well...that escalated quickly'...would be the mantra for this entire finale.

EDHPlayer

From here on, the stakes are raised. Every season shows the Grimm (pun intended) reality that our heroes live in

LikeCat

The Volumes coming up. (Both close ones and ones down the line)

Rachel Mae

Yup 😔 gets worse when you think about how Blake tells Sun about the WF’s history and that their old leader stepped down 5 years ago meaning Blake would’ve been 12. They might not have have had a romantic relation for that long but it’s very likely he was around her while she was still just a pre-teen

Evil Queen

And it truly begins….

Fusssel

I remember seeing a reaction by Rooster Teeth to the reaction of a certain person to PvP, oh yeah, they loved the pain :D

Liam Gradwell

Well, now we’re in trouble. And it’s only just the beginning. Hope you’re ready for this Elijah. 😱🌹

Deynix

Me: Awesome, a new RWBY reaction. Perfect way to start my day! Me, eight minutes later: …fuck.

Kiesen

I have so many things to say so you're getting all of them: - Penny's death never fails to give me chills. It's so well-executed and absolutely haunting. (Fun fact: her VA (Taylor McNee) actually made her dismembered model) - Cinder's VA (Jessica Nigri) was so busy she only had about two hours to record all her lines for this volume. - "You brought your army to my kingdom, James. Use it." goes so hard and we do not give it enough credit. - The Nevermore fight with the lockers is one of my favorite uses of the environment in any RWBY fight tbh. - Ironwood's guns are named "Due Process" and I hate how cool that is. - You predicted the controlling of the bots back in V2. - You have NO idea how messed up Adam's relationship with Blake was. The comics show off some of its darkest details so I suggest you read 'em (and for other reasons too, they're really good). - You are SO good at picking up at foreshadowing and you don't even know it. Good luck seeing which of your guesses are accurate.

jessie H

Your pun is very much appreciated! Thank you for the contribution

jessie H

It gets worse! Grab the tissues and Shamus!

RetroBeastto

Volume 3 we’re going down a hill that gradually getting steeper as we descend down. The best part is we got no breaks either.

man-of-bvz1n3ss

And not even just THAT, but Adam was her commanding officer with explicit authority over her. Even if Blake wasn't taken in by his personality cult, she honestly wouldn't have had a way to say no.

Rachel Mae

Hold on a minute. 20 something comments and I’ve yet to see the classic PvP Pyrrha’s Magic Trick joke. Gotta do everything myself around here 😂 Anyway this is how you make one penny into four quarters

Vex Valor

Penny D: Excited for the finale. You are not ready.

Arius

It only gets worse... I mean better... actually I mean worse...

RenaissanceM

What an appropriate password……

LikeCat

Its both. For her worse (Elijah you have no idea how much), for us its better (we get to relive the TRAUMA that was Episode 12... Yeah (?))

swiftiefearless

Bruh… Not THE biggest spoiler in RWBY in the thumbnail. o7 to anyone who haven’t watched RWBY Volume 3 yet and loves penny

Eddie Murphy

Waiting a week for your reaction to the final two episodes of the volume is going to be so hard, lol.

LikeCat

Acually we have to wait two weeks. She will be posting the last two episodes seperatly. (At least I think so there will be a week inbetween from what I saw on her Trello page) Either way we are going to be wrecks afterwards... 😭

Eddie Murphy

What?! Noooooooo! 😭 Lol that will be extra painful if there's a week break between the final episodes.

S.K. Kramer

From the moment Penny showed up she quickly became one of my favorite characters. And Nuts and Dolts (the ship of Ruby and Penny) immediately became one of my favorite ships. So episode 9 HURTS every time I watch it. I still get teary-eyed and I've seen it probably 20 times now if you count watching reactors. One of the most aggravating things about Cinder's plan is just how well thought out and planned it is. She's accounted for just about everything and it's terrifying to see it all being executed at once. She's a fantastic villain. She's also so goddamn hot, she really stretches the boundaries of "I support women's wrongs"

Phineas97024

Welp, fun time is officially over. Welcome aboard the angst train, Elijah. Buckle up tight, cause you’re gonna be here a while😁

BGTitan

Ep 9: RIP Penny. Turned into quarters way too soon. You will be missed. (Leave me alone! This is how I cope!) The camera work for the PvP fight was actually so good though. Absolutely wild. As much as he’s causing problems, I’m glad Roman’s back. He’s a fun villain to juxtapose against Cinder and Adam and all the horror that’s happening. Him and Neo both. Ep 10: AKA the episode where everyone poses like a team. That long one take where the camera zooms through the battle and then goes up the building to reveal Cinder and her crew is so good man. We’ve already come so far with the animation! The community has affectionately given the dragon (wyvern) the name Kevin. Don’t ask me why. It’s just what it was by the time I entered the fandom. Love Weiss fighting Atlas Drones while Blake fights the White Fang. Yeah… so something to keep in mind with Adam is that he’s around five years older than Blake, who is 17. ….. So those are some implications.

Jittercritter

Elijah instantly understanding the assignment after the darling line was great lol! The disgust, the instant conclusion that he’s a dick. Lol. Also yeah, these episodes are ROUGH. The build of tension in this season is SO good, it’s such a massive tone shift and it’s executed so well

Jittercritter

I was wondering who the first to say it would be

Octavia

The wait for next episode is gonna kill me. I wish she'd just watch them now and upload them ASAP. Ahhhhb

Hi-Viz

This is where the fun begins

Bryan Forquer

Technically the Grimm at the end is a Wyvern, not a dragon.

Kaykic

Let's all just skip the next two episodes and pretend they never happened....

LikeCat

Like how Arcane Season 2 ended at Episode 6. (The family reunion)... Agreed.

LikeCat

Yeah... It was close enough, afterall Wyverns are just a ,,sub-class" of dragons. Or something like that.

Wolfie Hart

THIS! So much, this! Reactions to it would be nice too.

Emily

The thumbnail is already breaking my heart

Natasha Grimm

Gods, I hate that discourse. Dragons don't have an official taxonomy. If they say it's a dragon, it's a dragon.

Jason S

Dragons have four legs. Wyverns have two.

bloodyshadow1

doesn't bode well that the next ep according to trello is a single. If it helps the revultion you experienced with Adam is the intended effect. They were together, he's the partner that turned inot the monster that blake talked about earlier and their relationship wasn't written as healthy

Nektis Noir

"UGH WERE THEY A THING?!" Even worse, the crew confirmed he was absolutely mentally and physically abusive to her. And some side comics they made with DC confirm they met when she was around 10-12 and he was about 14-15, so there's implied grooming too given the age gap, the fact Blake was in the WF for awhile, and the fact Blake is 17 rn so he absolutely dated her as an adult 💀

Mare

Yup....unfortunately Blake was in a past romantic relationship with that terrorist and psychopath, Adam. Bring more tissue for the last two episodes of this volume. You'll need it.

RoseBrassSarah

Don't worry we all hate Adam, Blake's psychotic abbusive ex, and he doesn't get better from here. Good news Blake know he is a piece of trash.

Beowolf Chow

Nothing bad. Ever happened. Eevveerrrr.

Beowolf Chow

We nerds need to agree on something so we can put this debate to bed forever, and move onto more important things. So I am borrowing an argument from someone who put it better than I. Dragons don't exist in the same way that fish don't exist. The term "fish" really has no meaning in a taxonomic sense. People simply called anything that fills the ecological niche of living in bodies of water with scales fins and gills, "fish." Regardless of how distantly related they are to one another or how different their body plans are outside of those few traits. A cealocanth for example is taxonomically more closely related to a camel than it is to a goldfish, but we call it a "fish" regardless. Similarly, "dragon" is just the name we apply to creatures that occupy that ecological niche, no matter how unrelated they are taxonomically. Wyverns, drakes, tatzlwyrms and the like are all called "dragons" for what they do, despite being completely unrelated to each other and having very disparate body plans. Like "fish." So from now on, we should all agree that saying "it's not a dragon, it's a wyvern" is like saying "it's not a fish, it's a trout."

Beowolf Chow

Hello darkness my old friend... I watched RWBY Volume 3 once again...

LikeCat

No, not at all. Don't mind me just crying my eyes out over at the corner. (Jynx is alive, she said it herself ,,It's not like I can die that easily")

Arashi

Yeah, Blake and Adam were a thing, and not a 'healthy' one either. Adam has... several issues. That's over looking the (IIRC) close to 5-6 year age difference between them as is. Enter the Grimm Dragon... Kevin. No it's not an official name but... the RWBY FNDM has characters. There's another couple 'named' Grimm still ahead, but only one is an official name I believe. Pyrrha broke off because she saw Ozpin by the archway, though you are more-or-less right in the rest.

Alexis Cardillo

Unfortunately yes Blake and Adam were together in that way, but far from healthy, she always gave hints and small insights of what her relationship was with him but yeah it was till episode 10 here and the next that we truly learn the extent of it. Let me tell you that while Adam is never given a exact age he's suppose to be in his twenties I believe (someone correct me if I'm mistaken) and Blake now is 17 when she left him, the implications are there. Separate gruesome note, you can the Nevermore in the background behind Weiss and Blake has the sniper student in its beak as it's flying,

Natasha Grimm

I think Red from Overly Sarcastic Productions got it right when she compared Dragons to Fae or Demons. It's a broad classification of creature that has a small handful of defining traits but otherwise can take any form the writer chooses

Flufux

The concept art in the end credits did call it a 'Grimm Dragon'.

Cinder's Apologist

probably far from the first to point it out, but that is a Wyvern, not dragon. the crew - or CRWBY - later acknowledged this and even worked in a joke about it in a later spinoff production. and yes, fear and anxiety is expected. it is an unfolding tragedy, and all you can do is watch it go down. honestly, watching this reaction to v3 is reminding me just how beautifully the crew executed that build-up through those first three volumes and how well it played out in the end. still wondering how she will feel about Cinder when it's all over >.>

Tone87

Respectfully, get your head in the game. QUIT gawking at the villainess. lol

Fadli Fernando

Correction: A Wyvern is a type of dragon.

Diesel Marcus

I have to write that down. That's good! XD

Diesel Marcus

Same. Cope through comedy. It's how I dealt with the pain of what happens to Yang.

SauceyRed

And his name is Kevin

SauceyRed

Also wyverns being a type of dragon depends on the world, there isn't a universal consensus since they're not real.

Fadli Fernando

There's a book called 'Dragonology' which explains the lore of dragons all over the world, Elijah has the book so she understands dragon better. But sofar i've never watched a show or played a game where wyverns are not dragon, it's stated in the artwork in the end credit that its a grimm dragon. While what you said about shows not being real may sound legit it is also important not to ignore evidences or indications pointing towards 1 probable conclusion because we don't want to mislead people into believing things that are not evidently true now do we?. I've watched RWRY for a few years now and i've no knowledge of the dragon being named 'Kevin' am i missing something? where is the sourse for it? I couldn't find in the fandom.

Kitsune Kokoro

I'm doing a rewatch through your RWBY reactions, and just realized- those screenshots you were taking of artists were because of Project TEA, weren't they? ;)

Eric Smith

The FNDM named it Kevin as a way to stop the Dragon/Wyvern argument. It... mostly worked?

Silverbell_TTV

Volume III still has some of Monty's animation in it that he personally worked on, like when Pyrrha is dodging Penny's lasers. *sigh* He was so talented, and gave us such an amazing story.

Bug Catcher Jacky

I don't think the age gap is an issue. Blake being a minor and Adam supposedly being in his twenties, however, is. Ew
