I don't think Emerald actually views Cinder as a mother figure. It's definitely sapphic, but they were keeping it unconfirmed by creating the stupidest reason in this short. I think they didn't want to do sisters because that is a common way sapphic relationships get erased so instead created an even less plausible one especially since Cinder is like a max of 5 years older than Emerald if even that.

With Icequeendom, what I recommend as you're still unsure about it, maybe upload the first episode or just episodes 1-3 and see interest for people on it and view count to see if it's worth to keep it up on YT and if not just switch it back to Patreon only. Personally I really enjoyed Ice queendom I know a lot of people weren't the biggest fan and granted it does have some flaws, but it was a fun ride none the less :)

Yeah, it's a shame Nomad of Nowhere only had one season; it was pretty good. They had some other absolutely great shows, though. Camp Camp was my favourite next to RWBY. Plus can't forget Red vs Blue, that whole show kickstarted the company.

I have a headcannon which has Ruby's dream act as a bridge between dimensions, crossing over Chibi with the canon timeline. As such, canon Ruby getting the same dream.

I’ve always loved that final skit!! It’s so weird seeing Normal Ruby with Chibi Ruby! Looking forward to season 4. Also, about IQ, the only thing I’m worried about with YouTube is copyright since it wasn’t just an RT project and an actual anime studio was involved and made it. I’d watch it on YouTube regardless but it is a concern I have.

So I do agree that Emerald's relationship with Cinder is definitely a one-sided crush, but there's also something simultaneously hilarious and sad about her going "please be my mom" to a woman who's like 4 years older then her maximum.

I always felt it was a messy fucked up mix of mother(off the streets, probably had reliable roof and food and wasn't completely alone) and crush as she didn't have a healthy way to A= X and B=Y and just ended up with the wires tangling together to get our favourite disaster hallucination mess

Ohhhhh a day early :) Score! I love that you love Oobleck. I was tickled pink when they introduced him here. I think there is only one other character that I was looking forward to more and maybe they show up .....in the fourth season. You might be stoked about this introduction hehe. Oobleck was voiced by one of the 6 founding fathers of Rooster Teeth . Burnie Burns, Matt Hullum, Geoff Ramsey, Jason Saldaña, Gus Sorola, and Joel Heyman. Burnie voiced Tai Yang (and he was then CEO of Rooster Teeth). Joel voiced Oobleck. Joel also voiced the character that stole the show in Red vs Blue......Caboose. And that's a show you should watch too :) The rest didn't do voices in RWBY although they did in other projects. It's too bad because Matt Hullum has a voice to die for :) I'm looking forward to your reactions to the fourth season of Chibi. Its only 7 episodes. I must admit I was hoping you might watch the Justice League crossovers next, but I enjoyed Ice Queendom too. Also, you really should consider the five fan-made videos by Mark Zhang on youtube about his four person team in the RWBY universe. They're so good.

I think you can see it either way. I don’t know why they would act like it’s a mother daughter thing if that isn’t the true intention. I’ve personally always seen it as a mother daughter thing. Age doesn’t make it that improbable or anything. You can still view people closer in age as a mother figure. I mean some older sisters end up as more of a mother figure if the actual mother isn’t that present or rather if the mother makes the oldest take on responsibilities meant for a mother. Emerald is an orphan, and Cinder took her in. Gave her food, shelter, and became her mentor. That always made it a mother daughter thing to me. Maybe because I could never see myself having feelings for a mentor figure (too close to a parental figure), or because majority of the time mentors are portrayed as a parental figure that the other looks up to. Nothing on Emeralds side really seemed romantic to me, rather she cared about her like a family member, and specifically sought approval like most would from a mother or mentor more than a romantic interest. It was at least never as obviously romantic like Blake/Yang or Ilia’s crush on Blake.

the unhinged nature of RWBY Chibi never gets old, even when you see these again years later XD Cousins of Chaos highlights one of my favorite meta jokes about RWBY, not just in Chibi but in the main show if you will: the way that the story consistently frames the boys as trying so hard to look and be cool in some form or another, while the girls are just Naturally Cool and Awesome even when they're still dorks. it's just. so gratifying to have a show/franchise that reliably uplifts their female cast like that and ribs the male cast in a manner that is an obvious nod to how other shows tend to put the guys front and center to an absurd degree. say what you will about the ladies of RWBY, but you cannot deny that they have style in every sense of the word - and are reliably badass! I for one love that the Nefarious Dreams all feature Cinder, mostly cuz I just love her especially in Chibi form. also I can't blame you for reading Emerald's emotions regarding Cinder in that romantic light; while it is definitely supposed to be "motherly figure" that Emerald wants, it sure can feel like she wants something else >.> anyhow, of COURSE you wanted to see Neo's dream lmao ya know, I don't think I really noticed that was a fish in Yang's dream... always assumed it was Zwei? but so glad you pointed that out because yeah, as if the whole rainbow thing wasn't blatant enough lmaoooo it's such a shame that season 3 ended like that - not getting to close out with a proper finale like the other two seasons. but I hope you'll enjoy season 4! though fair warning: it's literally just ten individual skits so the runtime will be VERY short. I trust you'll find plenty to talk about tho :3

Play with Penny was huge foreshadowing for the season finale to volume 6. The giant grim attacking the city referencing ruby using silver eyes, exactly what happens in 6.13. If they kept to the Original plans and didn't split 6.13, it would have ended with the reveal of Penny being rebuilt instead of at the end of 7.1. So 6.13 would have been the real play with penny, where after dealing with the giant Grimm in Argus and leaving without helping clean up they end up in Mantle only to find Penny is back and they can then play with penny.
