hey so remember how Kit beat Malice and Mayhem by looking at that sheet of paper that told her how to defeat them? the same piece of paper that landed on top of the pair right before the destruction of the game world hid them from view? that *was* Fold, that's how he knows who Kit and Kaboodle are and that Kit is reliant on Kaboodle to fight effectively; he did the same to Kit as he was doing to Flappers, Kit's world wasn't destroyed because she beat the game singlehandedly, Syntax was already interfering. also there's a second hidden reference to Monty before the end of the animation - when Kit and Kaboodle do their blast to shoot the group out of the ocean, the energy forms into the words "Keep Moving Forward" for a frame

I think it's implied that Fold was the piece of paper with the plan on it that allowed Kitt and Kaboodle to beat their villain in the dream/flashback. That would explain how he instantly recognized Kitt.

i think the implication is that fold was the 'map' you saw kitt have in the beginning. He's a anthromorphized version of a cheat sheet, he makes the games easier for the heroes so they beat the game quicker, just like he did for Flappers and Kitt

Kit was the Hero of her game, and defeating Malice&Mayhem destroyed her world. My current theory/headcanon is that the paper diagram seen at the beginning with instructions to beat M&M was Fold, the Sy tax paper-guy. He subtly assisted Jit in destroying her world, and since the paper was seen near M&M when the world blew up, that's how they survived. And, that's why he's afraid of Kit. Because if Kit figures out who he was/is, she's absolutely going after him personally!

Yeah, and Ross has said that he talked to Monty about RWBY, and told Monty about GameOVerse in return, and said everything we've seen in the show, minus a few small changes here and there, were exactly what Monty told him he had planned for the show. (He specifically told the story about a shot in Volume 7 that was literally 1-1 the way Monty had described it to him, and when he asked the animator about it, they said they never even got to meet Monty, so it was literally a testament to how well Miles and Kerry are keeping to Monty's vision for the series)

52:02 my Transformers brain says that scene this absolutely a reference to Galvatron stepping on and smearing Starscream's crown after killing him in The Transformers: The Movie (1986). The animation in the foot movement is absolutely identical.

Fun fact, if you pause at just the right moments, you can find Monty Oum's signature and his motto "Keep moving forward" in a couple of the impact frames. Ross and Monty were really close friends. Also, the original episodes of Gameoverse are still available on Ross's NewGrounds page. It's extremely unlikely that there are any spoilers, given how radically different the entire premise of the show has changed since 2009; none of the current characters even existed back then except for Gobbles, Flapper, Crabbington, and Stega-thesaurus (seen (and died) in the trailer), and they were very different.

Phoenix, were you thinking of the anime Erased? Because Epithet Erased is an indie cartoon on YouTube that started (and ended?) a while ago. Haven't seen it mentioned in a while. Couldn't really get into it due to how it was animated.
