Dr stone is very important it dc he is the father of Victor stone aka Cyborg member of the teen titans and sometimes depending on the universe founding member of the justice league (this is not a spoiler BTW just sharing who dr stone is)

Elijah: I have to finish the reacting, storm coming, the livestream too and the prom is tomorrow

Adrian ruiz martinez

Ceo tech being stupid is the most realistic part of this show

Adrian ruiz martinez

There is a lot of comics in which metropolis think superman, clark and lois are a throuple

Androzani84

Random note, but given these reactions are what got me into this show, it feels weird that I’m now ahead by four episodes.

NatMcK7

My vote is doing what you guys do for your Youtube titles with the "WOAH" or "SO CUTE" bits before the actual title/ what you were doing with your passwords but with a few more words lol

Ryan

John Irons is from the comics, as the superhero Steel. He's also been in live action, in a very regrettable 1997 film where he was played by Shaquille O'Neal, which is just as terrible as it sounds.

Taigan

I only watched season 1 before Elijah started. Now I’m just watching each episode on Saturday and then the reaction on Sunday.

Taigan

I know every iteration of the DC universe is different, but in what possible reality is moving from metropolis to Gotham a step up?

Enchanted_Echo

Henry Irons is also an important character in the comics known as steel who popped up during the Reign of the Supermen in the comics who basically is a man wearing a steel suit. And as for Clark........though he's not present he has a habit of interviewing Superman and steals the byline from Lois....

Enchanted_Echo

He also appeared in the live action Superman and Lois series from the CW which if you're a slice of life and superhero show fan, I highly recommend. :D

BakaSama

John Irons in the comics is a superhero named Steel. He donned his armor during the Reign of Supermen story arc in which Superman was dead (he got better) and a number of other Superman stand ins emerged. He’s inspired by the folk hero John Henry. Metallo in the comics is a cyborg supervillain named John Corben whose body is powered by Kryptonite. Lex’s “bald of evil” is a result of Kryptonite exposure (at least in the comics) and yes, Lex has been known to don a suit of power armor from time to time.

Alan Munro

A couple of things, in the comics Metallo is a cyborg villain powered by kryptonite, and one of Superman’s more recognisable enemies. Also if you think Livewire is cool now I can’t wait until you get to episode 7!

og.monstr

It's neat getting all these shoutouts to other DC heroes. 👍 Now all we need is Shaquille O'Neal, I guess...

Ryan

Why do I feel like a young Vicky Vale was just as much of an agent of chaos as Lois Lane. This universe's version of Lex Luthor is (adjusts glasses) kind of a loser... I hereby petition that every time Elijah has to rush a recording because of an incoming storm, she has to sing the refrain from "Gravity" (Hazbin Hotel) to explain why.

FullmetalNinja25

John Henry Irons (Named after the folk hero) in the Comic Books becomes the hero Steel after The Death of Superman event in 1992 wearing a suit and wielding a hammer similar to what Dr. Irons wears here.

AJ22 AKA AJ Universe

The forcefield is probably Superman's bioelectric aura, which is what makes him so invulnerable, and can pass to the things he touches/the things around him. It's how he can swoop in and catch someone at high speeds without them exploding.

Helen Dingo

Tbf, Elijah is watching 1 episode a week, and is a season behind, so it makes sense that being able to watch all of it at once would put you ahead. (No spoilers, but Season 3 is great so far)

Helen Dingo

Just wanted to give a warning Elijah, don't look at ANY trailers or promotion before you start Season 3, for some reason Warner Bros decided to promote the season by showing almost every major characters that will be showing up, and some of them are MAJOR spoilers if you're just getting into the show.

ConnorH265

Superman in lois wasn't really slice of life it was a cw drama. A more accurate slice of live is the superfam webtoon comic

Chaoticmuse

Also I'm fairly sure at one point Lois was accused of having an affair behind Clark's back with Superman....

Bailey

oh I wasn't expecting patreon to host one of these videos, but that's pretty neat! anyways I am VERY excited to see how this version of Lex develops. It's weird seeing a version of him that isn't a super wealthy billionaire, but I'm pretty sure that was a later addition in the comics. I'm pretty sure he started as more of a mad scientist villain before being reinvented later. It's also nice seeing other DC characters pop up. It's always fun seeing how new shows adapt previous comic characters in their own ways. Speaking of, I'm preeeetty sure Silas Stone is Cyborg's father... I know Cyborg's real name is Vincent(?) Stone Edit: Lex you bastard! I see he's gonna be climbing the ranks to become wealthier, so he'll be more like the Lex we know and loathe (in a good way lol)

Bailey

yeeeaaahhh... we've seen that all too often irl for it to feel unrealistic lol

Victor Papa

"Make it make sense." Dozens of experts told Stockton Rush that his submarine would get him killed, and he still went down in that thing anyway. We have a culture that conflates wealth with competence; rich people must be smart, or else they wouldn't be rich. We're not willing to admit to ourselves that the rich got where they are by being lucky, manipulative, selfish, and greedy. So instead we perpetuate this lie that they deserve it. And that creates a class of wealthy people who genuinely believe that they're the smartest, most competent people in every room they're in, and that everything they're doing is a good idea. And that's how you end up with the Cybertruck.

The emeret Guy and His Assistent give big Varric and Julie Vibes from Legend of Korra anyone Else?

Princess_Eastwind4869

two be fair, the first two pillars were taken down in one hit by the mech armor, the third one was John Irons using his normal human strength

MattCurtin!Iida: "So you're saying throuple?"

Rixec2

This is just typical CEO behavior. They tend to be very egotistical and dumb. Also, Flip is not Dr. Iron's niece. He was talking about his niece, Natasha, who watches Flamebird which is how he knew to contact Jimmy for help.
