I WASN'T EXPECTING TO CRY!

The rampaging baby Weisses is pretty much the type of insanity you get from a nitro+ (the anime’s Japanese production company) production.

BGTitan

You know, it says a lot that the fact that we’re about to have a giant “mech” battle with the Big Nick statue isn’t even the weirdest thing to happen in this dream.

Karel Hill

YOU GET A MINI-WEISS! YOU GET A MINI-WEISS! EVERYBODY GETS A MINI-WEISS! There so heckin' adorable!

Rain

Bumbleby the bike sank so they could sail!

9:04 - 9:26 Bless you, bless you, bless you, bless you, bless you, bless you. Allergies in the summer are the worse. I feel you. Also wanted you to feel validated bc I literally said it on instinct.

Ryan

Allergies are quite literally the opposite of a pain in the butt. Irritable bowel syndrome, on the other hand... I wonder if Weiss knows that Jaune's weapons were carried by his great grandfather in the Great War? Even if she won't admit it, he too is carrying the weight of a family legacy, and his own expectations... "What the Weisses!?" Maybe they should have called this Into the Weiss-verse.

Artificial Wench

Show really hits its stride here. 5 episodes remaining will fly by. Watching 8 by itself and not immediately watching 9 to find out wtf just happened will be difficult

Enchanted_Echo

I guess you could say............St. Nick is coming to town. It is really sad when you think about how much Weiss shelters her child side, but through the dream, the cracks do show its self. You have back in volume 1 when she said "I always wanted Bunk Beds" and in the team RWBY prison, there are bunk beds, When meeting Zwei she was restraint then in no time Weiss became their new owner and of course in her chamber who was beside her side but a robotic dog. Plus there is also sadly the middle child syndrome which matches up pretty well along with her family dynamic with the 4 F's thanks to her abusive dad. It is fun to have a deep dive into who she was and how back then and I do agree with you with that I would love more of stuff like this. But if we did have to have one, I am glad it was Weiss (I wouldn't mind one of Penny in the future for her early days as well) With Jaune (it's been a moment sense I've rewatched ice queendom so sorry for any mess ups) the way I look at it is with what Pyrrha said to Jaune before with him having A LOT of aura/power but he doesn't know how to use it which is why big sword to fight but it's still him though it all.

The tiny Weiss’ give me such cuteness aggression😭

Rachel Mae

Elijah might like the RWBY DC comic that takes place between v4 and v5 if she wants some backstory stuff to the girls when they were kids. It isn't a ton but there's some flashbacks to Ruby Yang and Blake as kids

Sam Marsh

Beware the Weiss army, for they will smother you in cuteness!!

Anzac-A1

3:47 He's her White Knight!

Anzac-A1

18:39 Has she forgotten that's not actually Weiss?

Tarot-Sovereign

I knew it! I freaking knew you'd lose it over little baby Weiss. You instantly adore any little kid version of a character.

Arashi

Head banging is always feasible. It just has compounding prices. :p The mini-Weiss invasion/revolution has begun! Candy and parks and friends and sleep-overs shall be everywhere! I would love more 'mini-series' that involve telling the pre-Beacon/childhoods of two teams. One thing that you overlooked (to be fair, I did too for a few watches) is that releasing her 'inner child' was forced on Weiss and not something she chose like opening the gates for the train. They disrupted the dream and probably let the Nightmare get deeper control over Weiss.

SpaghettiPolonaise

The Tiny Weiss Army is one of my favorite things from this show. Sometimes I imagine Tiny Weisses cheering me on when I'm trying to psych myself up to do something

TheyWereMarried

The yellow relic doesn't represent Jaune, it represents Yang. There's a red for Ruby, a yellow for Yang, a purple for Blake and a white for Weiss.

Cinder's Apologist

it is so nice coming back to your reactions and seeing your unabashed love for Bumbleby. Mosco is good fun in her own way, but she doesn't clock in the Bumbleby the way you do XD

Cinder's Apologist

so this is something I did not realize until recently... but it's possible that Weiss (the real Weiss, not Negative Weiss) actually wanted the train to be stopped. because if the train makes it into the city, then the nightmare is close to overtaking her. I'd say more but I can't give away certain details yet... yes, the deeper psychological dive into Weiss's mindset is one of the aspects I like most about IQ. it's no replacement for the original show, but that character study is indeed quite fun especially once you've seen the main show and know her family history. try not to take what Negative Weiss says too seriously. while there are hints of the real her in there, remember that this is a corrupted version of her - aka one that is being forced to fulfill a literal nightmare scenario. that is definitely Yang's relic. there are copies of the relic for each member of the team - white for Weiss, red for Ruby (now gone), yellow for Yang, and purple for Blake.

Cinder's Apologist

fun fact! little Weiss aka Silly Weiss was voiced by Elizabeth Maxwell for the English dub... as in the VA for Winter Schnee did the voiceover for Silly Weiss. okay in hindsight, I should have anticipated this emotional reaction to Silly Weiss XD but yes, they are not at all subtle about all the things Weiss repressed or had repressed during her childhood. GOD YES I WOULD KILL FOR A PYRRHA BACKSTORY!! so yeah. kinda obvious but the dream has gotten out of control, which will be explained in the next episode. and unfortunately, you have every right to be anxious; it's going to be a wild ride for the next few episodes...

Christopher Pope

The videos I have downloaded are the original Japanese audio, so this is my first time watching the English dub done by our main RWBY VA's. That makes this doubly awesome.

Angelus Lupus

I've enjoyed the basic premise of this show, but I just feel it's too slow. "Nightmare Grimm infect Jaunne and Weiss and we get backstory while we save them" is something that could easily have worked in the main show in V1 or 2, but not for this many episodes. It's just getting a little repetitive for my tastes. And I say that as someone who LOVES RWBY, can't wait for Elijah and Mosco to watch the Justice League crossover, and has just started bingeing another YT reactor because they started the show.

Rixec2

The tiny Weisses are so adorable and heartbreaking. All of Weiss' childhood desires are so normal in their selfishness as they are the things a kid would want. To not do chores, to go to festivals, eat sweets, play with friends, and be noticed by their family. A normal, loving family sometimes has to put on limitations for whatever reason, but the kids still do get to have those things. Weiss never had any of them. She had to bury them deep inside and let whatever her father wanted become her desires, letting herself be shaped by them. And I need to read your Weiss fanfics. I need them!

Haters: RWBY isn't ANIME! Studio SHAFT: It is now.

John J Ronald

Ironic Elijah has allergies for this reaction because Jaune does too!

Anime Kid67

I don’t know if anyone feels like this but I’ll just say it I don’t like that jaune is here

Lucifer_Crowe

huh they cut out Jaune calling her Ice Queen when the train was nearing the wall
