PROTECT OUR ADORABLE PAVI

Dreanner95

The flashback in episode 2 actually shows them both water bending so their parents likely knew they both were avatars.

Taigan

Random theory I’m pulling out of my ass: Korra didn’t destroy the world. Asami did. I’m imagining her company was experimenting with using spirit energy as a power source and… BOOM. But Korra took the blame to protect Asami.

Taigan

@29:00 While I think the Avatar world is a lot more Queer-friendly than ours, Pavi being Korea’s reincarnation might have something to do with why she wanted to make those figures kiss. 😉

MehrGills

Korrasami kiss!!! Kinda. (Even Pavi sees it)

Personally I support the tactic Kathric used. Brutal but he basically stopped an assassination attempt safely on top of protecting. Theres no way to know what the guy had. He already went off whatever presumably peaceful plan tbere was

Phoenix_mercury

Yeah, simple but effective and *technically* harmless at *such* a short duration, literally the matter of *seconds* it took to prevent him speaking and to get him cuffed

Phoenix_mercury

Yeah Karthik said(and assuming it's completely true) they're initially EB so having WB too would have made it obvious, unless he's wrong and they wasn't both EB initially and one was a WB and that make it not obvious

Suplee215

Its much better real life alternatives at least. I wont call it harmless but its a lesser amount of force. It lacks most of the side effects of a choke hold that makes that much more dangerous that come from physically crushing someone..

Reshen Naraynassamy

I know Zaheer wasn't a good guy and people associate the use of airbending to suffocate people to him killing the Earth Queen. But this is just an advanced technique, like what lightning bending is to fire bending. Zaheer didn't invent it. And just to be fair to Karthick, that technique was actually developed by a previous Avatar. And if anything, it shows his mastery of his element. He wasn't trying to kill that guy, he just immobilised him to allow Daemin to handcuff him without hurting Kayoko.

SauceyRed

7:30 Crazy both you and Mosco noticed this in the same episode's intro lmao I would've never noticed without Mosco pointing it out

SauceyRed

24:00 Mosco also said Yang instead of Aang in her reaction to this episode lmao (Unless Elijah said it earlier in this reaction and I'm just misremembering)

Catradora fan

I can hear Mosco's "nonononononono" when Karthik did the Zaheer move 😅

Jonathan Smith

This is how I see Karthik's use of this technique also. The guard had a blade to the chancellor's throat. That was a shock move to make himself pause long enough to be captured

Wrantheim

Yang instead of Aang. Mosco made the exact same mistake in one of her reactions.

Suplee215

Honestly i think rhe use of the technique here could show flaws in the previous philosphy of air benders. You take away the taboo of the move and the connection to zaheer and analyze the ability itself and theres a time and place for it. If someone is trying to off someone else, it is a effective option to neutralize them without death. Becuase sometimes you need to make tough decisions and that can bring more peace and balance to the world than simply making it taboo

BGTitan

The Korrasami figures getting an onscreen kiss before the actual Korrasami is such a tease! Now give us a flashback where they kiss Bryke! Don't taunt us! lol No but seriously I really want flashbacks with Korra like what we got with Aang back in LOK. Not even purely for lore on the whole cataclysm thing, but just to see her and Asami again! Asami was my favorite character and Korra was right there with her, gimme!

SharkMessiah101

Both Nisha and Pavi are such little beans! I think I like Pavi more but I’ve always had a soft spot for the weird dorks lol. Also I really hope if they do end up on opposite sides they can figure it out later down the road.

James Derrick

Remember that little flashback we saw before: it had Pavi and Nisha playing catch with waterbending before, so I'm pretty sure she always had multi-bending

The Akimbo Knight

Yooo I can 100% see this theory, like maybe asami finds the source, her company goes behind her back and sells it then a massive catastrophe happens that triggers the cataclysm and korra is blamed for it or takes the blame

Elise

I have trauma with "promise" ifykyk 😭

Jared Bichler

Pavi probably had a feeling the two dolls were a couple. Korra is her past life, after all.

Jared Bichler

I assume the Cataclysm would've forced lots of different people together. There's no time to be picky about race or sexuality when you're trying to survive.

Jared Bichler

According to Kaya (who was bisexual), here are the standings on gay relationships as of Korra's time. Water Tribe: Mostly for; kind of a social taboo. Earth Kingdom: Against; ironic because Kyoshi was bisexual. Fire Nation: Strongly against; Sozin actually made it illegal. Air Nomads: Strongly support; they didn't really care where love took you.

Jared Bichler

How would the girl's parents know to send a message to the captain?

Jared Bichler

The note said that the Avatar was in Ellora; why was Nisha in the Harshlands?

Jared Bichler

I just remembered something: Korra got amnesia after a spirit attacked her! Then she had to reconnect with her Avatar spirit.

Enchanted_Echo

I've always been a bit suspicious with Karthik has he seemed too much into the Avatar and willing for all of this and now he pulls a Airbender move that we've only seen Zaheer used which raises all types of red flags and he hid the fact of where he found Nishia which I need to know.......WHY, with the reasoning it would make no sense if he hid it as the result would still be the same

Rupert Anderson Jr

Karthik did the Zaheer special. It was violent but correct

May

I mean when a guy is threatening to assassinate a leader of a region, I personally think temporary suffocation in order to restrain him is basically nothing. It’s much less violent than what police would likely need to do in a hostage situation. I thought it was a really smart way to restrain him.

Xýliandra

28:54 KORRASAMI🤩🤩🤩!!! I love that Pavi is making those wood dolls kiss😍

Patneu

Regarding that back scratcher: Let's not pretend that Sokka wouldn't have done the exact same thing if he found it and didn't know what it is!

Black Fire

Korra and Asami finally get their on screen kiss. SUCK IT, NICKELODEON, YOU DAMN COWARDS!

bloodyshadow1

i think Pavi just saw a pretty lady and could feel it in her soul that she deserved all the kisses

Rebel Pilot

I agree the korra destroyed the world is a red herring and misdirect. And if she did? Im honest: the world needed to be catclysmed
