I think Barbie is a fun complicated element to all this. She is basically the opposite of Fizz in reacting to Blitzo. And I think thats ok. No matter how much Blitzo changes, the people he harmed in the past are not obligated to give him another chance. And it sucks when peoole do make that effort and just get met with hostility but I can't say Blitz didnt earn it. Now in this scenario Blitz will be totally justified in just letting Barbs go as hes not obligated to deal with someone veing openly hostile to him either but he chose not to and to try to use the chance to rekindle. Without context of her short I will say Barbs is out of line to come begging for a job without being willing to work with him but shes only here as a product ofnthe system that makes it impossible for her to get a job otherwise and that is partly due to Blitz. She took the first opportunity she could to get a job away from Blitz and thats fair. It sucks for Blitz but becoming a better person isnt a mgical everyone forgivesyou and want you in your life situation. That may work for some people like Fizz (and I argue his relationship with Verosika is a lot more frenemies than kt was which might be a good place for that) but the real benefit of bettering yourself is for yourself andothers currently in your life and in the future, not the past. I also think some of the issue with Stolas is he expected things to be fixed and them together once he worked out his issues. Glad to see he is happy Stolas is happy and not jealous Probably the biggest sign of growth for him.

After this episode, I’m really worried for Blitz because the end of the episode when he’s talking to Stolas he gets that ringing in his ears and nearly vomits. These are clear signs of how much stress he’s under and I’m very worried about what’s going to happen when he finally snaps

I think Blitzø is using "being mature" as his brand new unhealthy coping mechanism. By keeping his pain and suffering quiet, and holding on to the idea that this makes everyone around him happier. NOT how it works, but in his head it does.

We don't know everything about their past or relationship. If the fire is the only reason than for sure. And I wonder where the heck is their father who clearly lied about that. But Blitz was enough of a jerk where I just accept there are other reasons Barbie doesnt want him in her life.

Idk how to feel about stolitz having this very huge milestone of communicating just for stolas and vassago to end up dating like 1-2 episodes later. Also Blitz was doing so great and now everything fucks him over

I am actually optimistic where Blitzo is right now. Hes clearly in pain but hes prioritizing the right things and not just turning to rage. I think Blitzo has a very toxic attachment style that he needs to work on and has been working on. Every relationship hes in, whether its romantic or platonic or family, he gets extremely attached but doesn't tell anyone how attached he is and he tries to hog the spot light without telling the other person he needs some attention and its always his desire fornit to be prioritize and not others. We see it woth Stolas, Fizzy as friends and the birthday cake, and even with that weird funny trying to insert himself into Millie and Moxie in season 1. He also has trouble accepting others do care for him when there arent grand gestures involve. I took the "good for him" as fake it til you make it with some elements of truth to it and hopefully he goes up from there. Largely befause i cant see him getting any lower than he was already. I see it genuine on the up turn with some pot holes coming to deal with (especially his dad)..

Honestly, this episode made me lose all respect for Barbie. If she wants to be mad at Blitz for what happened to their mom, that's one thing, that's actually justified. But the way she dissed Loona earlier was uncalled for, and she went with the flipping psycho Striker, just after he tried to kill Blitz, really crossed a line. Not to mention she's pissed at Fizz for just being on better terms with Blitz (as we saw in the last episode).

Honestly, "What Went Wrong" is the first Helluva Boss song to bring me to tears, and it continues to do so every time I hear it. Not since Lucifer & Charlie's "More Than Anything" has a song just emotionally resonated with me so hard. I didn't think a song could top "Two Minutes Notice", but here it is.

I feel like with the focus shifting from messy romantic relationships to Blitzø and Loona’s bond getting built up more and more and now Octavia and Stolas’ getting their relationship repaired (or at least starting to) it’s all building up to something bad coming with the people in Blitzø’s life. I have a bad feeling that is where Mille and Moxie’s baby is going to come into play. With Blitzø out of the way, Stolas and Vasago were able to reconnect. While on the other side of things, Barbie left Blitzø again and Loona is coming off an awful injury. All it might take for Blitzø to crash out is something happening to Millie that he feels he is responsible for. Which is where I feel the season finale next year will leave us. I feel like Stolas is going to have to be the one who reaches out and pull him out of it and that’s gonna be when they become official. Since, as cool as Vasago is, I think things are going a little too well with their romance. Although I don’t expect him to betray the group, I do think the rose colored glasses are going to come off at some point.

I think theres going be a episode to highlight how far he has come by setting up a perfect storm of bad situations and have him ask the people around him for help or he doesnt do it but the support group around him helps anyways

First time I saw this I was terrified when Via said she saw the Judge Jina that she heard this emotional confession to Blitzo. And then she was gonna see her dad and Visago and it would just confirm everything she believed that Solas was just a horndog who never really cared about anyone.

Because he'll see Loona's scars or robo-Fizz will say something thatll send Blitz into a DESTRUCTIVE spiral that will culminate at the birth of Millie and Moxies kid which the episode may bring parallels to the one where Blitz couldnt be there for Stolas

The problem is that everyone close to Blitzø is distracted right now. Stolas with his daughter, Millie and Moxxie with the pregnancy, and Loona dealing with a major injury on the job, and possibly concerned she isn't good enough to stay on the team. So if they do catch Blitzø acting weird, there's a high chance that they'll assume it's him having trouble being mature, not holding onto a massive amount of pain and resurfaced trauma. My guess is someone's gonna find the Fizz-bot head, and put 2+2 together.

This episode made me feel so many things. A: Stolas... my lovely, lovely bird... He is so dumb :D I get that he is high on joy, but holly hell stolas is just expert at ignoring the feelings of people around him. B: Blitz is definetly gonna lose it C: I am hoping and huffing copium, tahat Barbie played that so that Striker wouldn't kill Blitz. I mean I am pretty sure she pulled Blitz out of the water (don't know how he would get out othervise) then we see her fighting Striker, used the fact that Striker was smitten and played along. 21:46 We waited 3 years to see what Blitz was typing to Stolas in Western Energy and it was "I'm sowwy I wuz nut th-" before he deleted it. Given everything in his past he couldn't bring himself to tell Stolas that because he's still guilty about not being there for his Mom, similar to the guilt Stolas carries over abandoning Via. The difference is people around Stolas are allowing themselves to understand and move on if not forgive him, but Blitz is having all his attempts shot down or ignored.

Just cause they're communicating better doesn't mean Blitz is owed a romantic relationship or that Stolas can't date Vassago. Stolas has made it crystal clear that he can't/won't have one with Blitz. So many people are not getting this through their heads and honestly at this point that is a red flag from the fandom.

I feel like not only did they rush Octavia reconnecting with stolas, but honestly the amount of stuff they put blitz through at this point is growing tiring. Having negative experiences have impact in reflection with the positive ones, and with how much shit they throw at blitz it feels less impactful and more frustrating and almost spiteful.

I knew you were not going to be at all happy about the Barbie/Striker thing and it does feel like that's where they're taking it too just to shit on Blitzø even more. I want to like Barbie but this type of stuff makes me hate her so much. It's so cruel how she still blames him for their mom's death. She'll go to him when she needs something yet still treats him like absolute garbage. That last part from Blitzø is what Verosika told him to say back at the hate Blitzø party. Man, Blitzø really cannot catch a break. This whole first half of the season was just endlessly beating him down. Yet despite everything he's actually showing real character development. He needs a win so badly I was really surprised they resolved this Via/Stolas thing so quick and early. I was expecting that to take a lot more work, maybe with Loona serving as a intermediary to get them together and then at the end of the season it finally resolves. This felt really rushed and Im really annoyed we didnt get to see her birthday.

I kinda read Barbie as a family member you want to help, but who will NOT accept help. And she's doing well in terms of staying sober, but that doesn't mean she fixes things in terms of her own emotions & relationships. What happened between her & Kendra is on her. And I hate it, cause they were cute together for a moment, but sometimes that doesn't stop people from tearing each other apart. Look at Blitzø and Stolas! Perfect parallel there. And Barbie can definitely do better than Striker, but I've had SO MANY friends who've kept dating awful men. I'd hope it's just a phase for her, but they may just be complimentary kinds of toxic. Which doesn't make a happy relationship, but can make a tough one to quit. It's... oh, it's all so messy & complicated, and I love that there's so many messed up relationship dynamics in this show.

Or, and here's a thought, maybe he's not actually entitled to Stolas choosing to be with him no matter how much he does to improve himself and be supportive, especially if Stolas articulates an emotional obstacle to that at the same time as another healthy alternative becomes apparent.

I don’t think I’m understanding why people are mad at Stolas. He made it clear he’s not ready for a relationship with Blitz specifically right now because of what he sacrificed for him. Why shouldn’t he see other people? Why can’t he talk about his good day? It’s not like Blitz has asked him not to, they agreed a relationship isn’t for them right now. He could’ve talked about his day to Stolas and he chose not to, even though I believe Stolas would’ve listened.

I'm so sorry, but this episode pushed me further onto the Stolas and Vassago bandwagon lol. I still love Blitzo and Stolas, but I think they need to work on the issues in their lives first. I do think them getting together is endgame though, and I'm here for that. Just curious to see how we get there Also I absolutely adore this episode. It's my favourite so far, though on rewatched episode 6 has gotten pretty close. It's the more fun action episode, but the stuff with Stolas and Octvia reuniting just got my whole heart. I agree the show is beating Blitzo too much now though. I think after watching these and getting your perspective I've developed a few criticisms of the season, but overall I'm still enjoying it a lot. I would say it's overall been my favourite. I also absolutely love the song this episode too. After everything that's happened, I will say I am very proud of Blitzo. He has grown so much, and while things may be really bad for him now, I think he'll pull through. Though I do understand the pain many feel for him, and I agree that the show is going a little too far with beating him down, I think things will turn around for him later. Hopefully he gets some wins in the next half of the season before the finale at least.

What I was saying I don't really know but still isn't Octavia I I do know how that feels me and my father I he and I don't talk anymore it has been one year since me and him stop talking to each other and it was over a really difficult I'd rather difficult families situation that I would rather talk to you like on just poured about or something like that but she is not he's not a good person but very entitled his very narcissistic and things between him and I just over the past 5 years after my parents split up they were good for the beginning from the beginning but like after they split like after they split up it was good because my my mom and dad they always been separate not like separated but just he worked as a truck driver so he wasn't home a lot so it would just be like me and my mom my two sisters and our grandparents our mom's parents and you only talk so after he stopped doing that right after you stop driving trucks and stuff like that me and him like we got to see him a lot more in our relationships were closer and and then after 20/20 when they split up things were good my 13 I turned 13 and 2021 I'm now 18 I turned 18 this year he was not here for my itching birthday I decided I didn't want him it was fun it was just relaxing and I to handle the that situation with the siblings but stolenson via on the stolenson via on the other hand

A few beats before Striker demonstrates his superior mobility and ability to breathe underwater, Blitzo identifies based on his eyes that he's part-Fausil--which, per Wackford Hoedown we now know to be the name for the shark demons of the Greed Ring, like Chaz. In the original Loo Loo Land episode, Stolas tried to explain his feelings to Octavia, and didn't have the words. This time, he does have the words, or at least the lyrics. For the first time, he's able to let her in to the feelings he's always tried to conceal from her and communicate honestly so they can reach an understanding. "All thanks to Vassago" is absolutely one of the more genuinely thoughtless things Stolas has said this season. Let's remember, though, that Blitzo *did* ask to hear about his day and is actively hiding his own injuries and stress from Stolas--and, at least in Stolas' mind, he *did* already express a heartfelt thanks to Blitzo for his assistance with the locket. Stolas needs to learn to read the room, for sure, but also, now that Blitzo has learned to not blow every hurt feeling he has up into a screaming match, he now needs to learn the equal and opposite lesson of not bottling them up and never allowing himself to communicate his needs.

I think it was good that Via saw that on the show, as it finally lets her understand what all the drama around Blitzø and Stolas is actually about, but without Stolas directly having to vent to her face about it, which would be highly awkward and inappropriate in any number of ways.

Barbie saved Blitzø! She pulled him out off the water, prevented Striker from killing Blitzø and even gave him his crystal back after opening the portal! Yes, she's insufferable, but deep deep deeeeeeep down the seems to care at least a little bit for her brother.... Sadly her words did hurt a lot more than her actions! 😢

I’m personally not that mad at Stolas, but he is definitely being inconsiderate/insensitive. He can see other people and talk about his day while being mindful of his words. It’s not difficult to simply to consider other people’s feelings and alter your actions accordingly. It’s like a white lie. “Why shouldn’t they tell the truth?”, because that could hurt the other person’s feelings, and telling a pretty inconsequential lie is better than making the other person sad. It’s the same here. Sure he can tell Blitzø about his good day, but it doesn’t hurt to simply not talk about just how amazing your new boyfriend is when the one that you’re talking to has already made his feelings for you clear. Actually Blitzø might be doing just that is this situation. Could he tell him about his day? Yes, but seeing how happy he is he decided it wasn’t worth possibly bringing his mood down, especially considering how depressed Stolas has been. Many people do this type of thing. You probably do this. It’s almost instinctual as you don’t even consciously always think about it. It’s the fact Stolas isn’t doing something that seems so blatantly obvious to others. Because everyone knows that it would absolutely hurt to hear the person you like gush about someone else. Stolas already knows about Blitzøs feelings, their conversation obviously wasn’t going to magically get rid of those feelings overnight, thus he should know that him talking about how amazing Vasago is, will hurt him. Unlike everything else they needed to, and have, finally communicated to each other, this isn’t something most people think needs to necessarily be communicated directly and should be something you already understand. Stolas clearly doesn’t, which causes frustration for viewers that know they absolutely wouldn’t act in the same way.

I also would've liked Via's birthday to be an episode in itself, but I'm ngl I don't particularly mind, 'cause we feel the same way about it as Stolas probably does. We're sad to have missed it, but so is he. EDIT: As for the Loona stuff, it would've probably been nice, I was expecting Blitzø visiting her and them just being more wholesome with maybe some more development of their father-daughter relationship, but I'm not particularly upset that we didn't get something like that.
