2026-09-03 02:00 "What is that?" That is Glorious Evolution! :D Love the enthusiasm, been looking forward to this reaction! Also, Skye saved Viktor here. Had she not intervened, the Hexcore would have killed Viktor as he didn't use that shimmer variant but instead used Skye's lifeforce to "turn" his hand and some of his wrist into that hybrid body part. One last thing, while the episode is called Oil and Water I'd like to point out that while Cait was in the shower, her blood mixed with the water which could be seen as how Cait and Vi can mix together. They aren't oil and water. Neat detail I picked up on one of my many repeated viewings. :3

Love the reaction. I had a feeling you'd get excited for Vi and Cait this episode haha. Additionally, the spot where Heimer gives the kid a spinning top is the same spot in the Enemies music video where Vi is showing all the kids how to punch.

Your reaction when Jayce's shot hits the kid,,, EXACTLY The point of the whole scene. The music, the lights, the action... it fills us with adrenaline and we LOVE THE VIOLENCE. Our enemies are literally faceless, we're just bouncing along and getting more and more psyched... and then they gut shot us with the consequences. Jayce coming to grips with what Mel said about war... the viewer being brought into that moment and feeling GUILTY that we were so psyched to be watching it. Well played, Arcane. Well played.

Hey Elijah, when you rewatch the shower scene (we all know you will), there is a neat symbolism for her bleeding: Vi says that Caitlyn and herself are different, oil and water, and they don't mix. Caitlyn in the shower is shaking her head, and biting her lip disagreeing with Vi. She replays Vi's departure in her head, but she does so in reverse, wishing she could turn back time and change the outcome of that event. Lastly she looks down at her blood falling into the shower water and slowing mixing into the water. Yes, they might be different, but instead of Oil and Water, they can be Blood and Water, two different things that mix perfectly together.

Your reaction to Sky going to Viktor's workshop was the same as mine. This show has shown time and time again that friendly fire is ON. And to top it off, both Viktor and Jayce have made a choice. And we see it's gotten an innocent person caught in the crossfire. Super excited for ep9's reaction!

I think Vi is more of the Martyr type, she pushes Cait away cause she knows she is going to go after Silco but doesn't want Cait in the cross hairs, but as with past experiences Vi doing the sacrifice thing never ends well for her

Oh and BTW it was said that something did happen in the scene with Vi and Cait on the bed but nothing is said as it's said that it will give away something in season 2. So just something to think about

I realized the mastery - Caitlyn & Vi and their tender time on the bed, the Ying/Yang setup - next scene: Jinx living through hell on the table, imagining Vi replacing her with Caitlyn and Vi&Caitlyn putting her through all that misery. 10/10.

Dodger - Cait and Vi were on the bed in the Morning and it skips to the evening and the main writer said they were going to "refer" back to that time in season 2. No-one said it yet but if you watch the shower scene closely. Cait rewinds the scene of Vi walking away from her to the point where you can see her mouth "forget me". Then Cait bites her lip and shakes her head as if to say "No, i'm going to fight for you". I always thought it was super romantic.
