Hearing Moxxie be foul-mouthed always cracks me up. 1) He's the token good guy / doormat. 2) That's Rikki Horvitz, the voice of Invader Zim. The whole voices from children's cartoons saying horrible things is always a stitch to me.

Verosika Mayday is played by Cristina Valenzuela, a prolific Anime Voice Actress who is most known for playing Sailor Mars in the Viz Re-Dub of Sailor Moon. She's also Miraculous Ladybug.

I feel like now is a good time to mention that in the HH/HB universe there's 2 major categories of demons. Human sinners that go to hell, and natural hell species. Moxxie, Millie, and Blitz are imps, Loona is a hellhound, Verosika is a succubus. Charlie, her parents, Stolas and his family, and most of the royalty of hell are also powerful natural hellborn demons. Overlords are a title that both sinners and natural demons can get. They're also pretty much the highest rank a sinner can reach, and the natural hell royalty outclass them in both rank and power.

And in today's category of remarkable voice acting gets, in addition to the aforementioned Cristina Vee (who, incidentally, sang in a pretty good cover of Addict sometime before this), Vortex is played by Tony award-winning James Monroe Iglehart (who actually had a bit role in the Hazbin Hotel pilot).

I don't know why, but I find something rather humanising in the portrayal of Blitzo and Verosika as bitter exes. It's something about that sense that his shenanigans are goofy fun in most contexts, but put him in an actual relationship and they'd make him an incredibly shitty boyfriend. And Verosika has kind of an Envy Adams energy except where we know from the start that she was done dirty. I mean, Blitzo stole shit, and I feel as though that's one of the scuzziest things somebody can do as a boyfriend.

I was expecting Elijah to have a... reaction to Verosika. Wasn't quite expecting her to literally look as though she was falling under her spell same as everybody else during that song.

I've always liked the way Vortex deals with Loona in this. I'm pretty sure he can tell that she's smitten and acts in a few chill ways to put her at ease (particularly the way he says his name in a way like her kind of gasping her's out), and while he's dropping the line about having a girlfriend so she knows where she stands he's doing it at the same time as inviting her to socialise so she could find somebody else.
