The reason the pheremones work on Song is because it specifically affects primates. Kipo being a jaguar isn't affected, but Song's mutation is monkey, thus still primate. Man, this episode is a hit and a miss. On one hand, heavy lore dump episode, on the other hand Fun Gus is so damn annoying and imo the worst part of the show lmfao. Regardless, was SO hyped to see you react to this! And it only gets more hype from here! :D

Even without being sentient fungus is weird and creepy. It's such an alien lifeform compared to animals and even plants. I would absolutely nope out of there if I ran into something like Gus. Also, the pheromones work on primates. It doesn't effect Kipo because she's half jaguar

YES!! Finally you saw it! I was waiting for so long to see you react to this episode! 😃 And to answer your questions (without spoilers ofc): No, Scarlemagne doesn’t know the mega monkey is Song. And when he said he wants all humans to “suffer the same fate you were forced to endure” he was referring to being mind controlled and enslaved for 13 years. Anywho I can’t wait for you to react to episode 8! 🤩 (I honestly think 7 was unnecessary but whatever). And I will say this, now that you know I think you should keep in mind that Scarlemagne isn’t all that bad (at least in my opinion). Enjoy the rest of the show! 😁

It's been wild watching this because even from the earliest encounters with the Mega Monkey, I could see in your reactions that the gears were turning. You were on this thread from the very beginning. I think it was the first time Kipo encounters her, we can visibly see something click for you. I remember watching that one and saying "Holy shit, she knows!"

I knew it!!! I totally called it in S1 Ep4 Cactus Town. I was holding it in for so long, it took a hot minute but at least Elijah caught on. Remember in that episode when I commented this "I don't know if anyone noticed, but the mega monkey, she recognized Kipo's song. Look back when the mega monkey started to slow down as it was charging at Kipo, pay attention to the mega monkey's facial expressions. A theory just came to mind, and it just blew my mind!!! I don't even know if I want to mention it, for the sake of all your minds. It'll take you guys a hot minute but if you guys came to the same conclusion as I did, watch out for Criss Angel cause you'll be mind freaked." I was right, my theory was right. What I held in and was hoping someone from the clues I gave would put it together as I did, that the mega monkey is Kipo's mom.

since Kipo is part feline the pheromones dont work on her, but song is still full primate, so that is why it works, hugo's pheromones also works on the other monkeys he just dont use on them

Yeah. The pheromones work on all primates, but she's half primate and half cat. Her mother, however, is half primate and...half primate.
