"And you're just going to live comfortably downstairs knowing that you have a bunch of little ghost dolls running a cardboard...themepark?" Why not? After all, Norma's been fine working at a place where there's a literal elevator to all the levels of Hell installed.

BTW, may I suggest the book "Meddling Kids" by Edgar Cantero? DeadEnd-ish and an excellent book: Imagine Scooby-Doo if it was written for the Lovecraft mythos. And, yes, there's a gay-crush in it...;)

On top of the great bi rep, for an autistic like me, this is especially great for Norma there too (Steele didn't start out intending Norma to be autistic and simply wrote her as their own avatar, only to later get diagnosed and roll with that for the character too). That initial conversation with her mom and struggling to steer the conversation elsewhere but not figuring out how until she finally just loses her temper is something I went through quite a lot at that age, and it still occasionally happens even with all the growing I was able to do to control it.

Finally, I’ve been waiting for your reaction to this episode. My favorite moment has to be the mother’s reaction when Norma tells her she’s bisexual. It’s just so heartwarming to see right away that she accepts her! Also, great speech you’re right it is good to see representation like this and shows! So sad this show is over. Hopefully somebody will pick it up..
