She was exactly three weeks away from what would've been her 102nd birthday. All I can say is I hope you can treasure and enjoy the memories of the time you did have with your abuela. Take all the time you need Elijah. For me, it was the little things that hurt most. A decade ago I was in a theater and caught myself trying to share my candy with an empty seat. There's no easing the pain, at least not right away. All you can do is go through it with the people closest to you who share it.

Know that your Abuela is safe and sound in heaven and always will be watching over you. I too know how it feels. I lost my grandma when she was 65 years a year and six months ago. There are times where I still think she’s alive. Something that helped our family was to talk about how much she did for us and the memories that we shared. Healing can’t be rushed so please, take time to mourn. For now, just focus on your own needs.
