THANK YOU! ThankyouThankyouThankyouThankyouThankyouThankyouThankyouThankyouThankyouThankyouThankyou!!! You don't... I mean... you just... *noises of raw emotion escaping* Sorry. I have been hoping beyond hope that one of y'all would cover this FANTASTIC bit of animation. And through you, hopefully it will reach your respective audiences and spread from there. Mosco, thank you SO MUCH for getting Elijah to watch AND react to this! At a time in my life that was painful and confusing and I wore this armor of hard jagged edges, I found the original video and it... affected me. When I was trying to reject everything and to just be alone, this got into my heart and warmed me from the inside. As the new videos became available, I became more invested in the lore and characters, and I did my damnedest to turn my friends onto it. This is kinda where my recovery started. I'd find myself on bad nights, when my brain had turned against me, looking to this series. I'd watch, and smile. I didn't understand a word of it but I absolutely understood everything else. The joy of their meeting, the budding friendship toward Doki on her birthday and seeing how much Nabi meant to her, my heart soaring as Nabi "surrenders" to a second date, the absolute devestation of "Paradise", and the sheer elation of their reunion at the airport. I remember watching "Imagine" for the first time and cheering Nabi on as he turned from the tree and started running to find Doki. "Go... Go!... Fucking go!" Was I... crying? Despite my best efforts, I could still feel. I still wanted... THIS in my life. The way this opened me emotionally when I was ready to give up... reminded me that the world could be beautiful, and that hope wasn't stupid. I adopted the phrase "I'm Nabi looking for my Doki." It gets looks. Nobody gets it. But maybe some day I'll find someone who does. I haven't found her yet. But I remain hopeful that one day I will. Elijah, I'm so glad you enjoyed this and that it affected you as deeply as it did. What's more, I'm happy your Nabi was right by your side throughout!

Mosco had mentioned the fish on the moon, that was one of several clickable easter eggs in the original flash version which wasn't available in the video form. There's a list of the Easter Eggs available on the Wikipedia page. I should also mention that Step 6, "Another Step" is currently available to watch in full on SamBakZa's patreon page for members; it will likely be released on YouTube at the beginning of next year. Not to spoil much but... it's rather fantastic.

"This wee shit has put me through all three How To Train You Dragons and she didn't let me know there would be PAIN!" Introducing people to things without telling them there will be pain is a love language, because they might not watch it if you tell them "and it will emotionally destroy you, and you will enjoy it, and you will share it with others." For example, - "You should watch Arcane, the art style is amazing!" - "You should watch Nimona, it's so wild and fun!" - "You should watch She-Ra, it's so bright and cheerful!" - "You should watch Wynonna Earp, it's so gay!"

I just checked their YouTube, and apparently there was another version of Step 3 that shows Doki setting up her surprise at the start instead of Nabi starting his day. lol (There are no other differences)

Thank you for introducing me to this lovely series of animations! I'm not surprised the story they tell has resonated with so many people over the years, and it feels particularly relevant now with how countries like the US and UK are drifting backwards on LGBTQ+ rights and acceptance. In the end though, in both the story and in real life, love conquers all and will always prevail!

SPIKELB!

If you need anymore ideas on new shows to watch, I highly recommend watching and reacting to the anime: The Yakuza’s Guide to Babysitting. It’s adorably heartwarming despite not having a lot of episodes. I think you’d really enjoy it

This is one of my favorite reaction videos ever. I mean that. I must admit - I cried watching this at 1am in the morning. It was so cute and so heartbreaking at the same time. I have so much respect for the LGBTQIA+ community and I'll always stand by the community. It showed me the problems we're unfortunately facing at the moment which is so unfair. My respect for Elijah and Mosco (as well as Morgan) continues to grow everyday. Love will always beat hate!

Thank you for sharing this! It’s so cute, I really enjoyed it. I am annoyed at the pain, but i semi regularly watch all three of the How to Train Your Dragons and the series through that universe too so I can’t really say much on that. I love learning about new (well not new but new to me things especially through you guys. I love you guys so much, y’all are so cute and adorable and I love seeing it. Step 2 and 3 are tied for my favorite Thank you Mosco for showing Elijah the how to train my dragon movies because they are realllyyyy good (in my biased opinion) Elijah im sorry for the pain through the movies and this, but i hope it was both worth it :)
