Alysia Yeoh is from the comics, created by Gail Simone in 2011. She was going to be in the notorious Batgirl movie that Warner Brothers now refuses to release, which would have made her the first trans character in a superhero movie, so as you might imagine there's quite a lot of suspicion that this is precisely why they won't release it.

Don't know if you picked this up but Tefe is also an lgbt character. It's not explicitly said but I think it's implied that they're nonbinary! And I believe that they're voiced by a nonbinary person as well! It's rly cool to see how your reacting to the mystery involved in this season. Just know that what doesn't seem important now most definitely will be later and I'm sure you're gonna figure it out!

Episodes 6-10 are where the show goes a bit downhill for me and others, won't get into details because spoilers but it starts to feel almost like a completely different show.
