Harley and Ivy can't communicate when things are normal but they can communicate just fine when shit is hitting the fan. Glad you enjoyed this episode, this is where the season finishes it's slow, awkward turn and accelerates full speed to the finale and a (hopefully) better season five. Let's be honest, though, Harley and Ivy would be ... complicated parents. Although a Working Moms-esque spinoff of them trying to balance villainy and vigilante with play dates and the dismembering the busy bodies in the HOA for saying that Ivy's plans are in violation of the rules and regs would be hilarious.

I'm sure as the LOD CEO Ivy would have been able to afford that one stem cell spermification process on top of reciprocal IVF in the interim period between now and 2024 for them to have a bio kid together.

Neytiri is voiced by Zosia Mamet, who also plays Kayley Cuoco's best friend in The Flight Attendant. Awesome to hear them together again in a totally different kind of dynamic.

Been waiting for this one since the episode aired! I hope someday we can see the various designs they came up with for harlivy's kid. I do wish more of the season cldve been like this one. Also heads up for next episode as it's a bane centered episode similar to the joker one in s3 with the b plot also not including harley and ivy but they do still show up in the episode!

I think Barbara is losing it because Batman left her in charge with full confidence in her...and between Talia marching in and now Nightwing dying...her leadership hasn't been working out to well...

never thought of it this way but ur totally right! I honestly interpreted Barbara as still mourning his death and focusing on finding the killer so that she wouldn't have to deal with how she was feeling. But this makes a lot of sense because Bruce cldve trusted dick with the batfam but he chose Barbara specifically instead.

I have to be honest I was having the same feelings you were about this season. It just felt meh, but then this episode to the finale are amazing! Weirdly I feel like the new writers intentionally made the first half of the season frustrating and off character so they could return to form near the end of the season and get everyone hyped again. Sort of like Sour Patch kids, first they’re sour and then they are sweet. 🤭

If they did that, it s very bad writing. Bc every season should be pushing towards a better version of our characters. The season is wasted if we start and end with the exact same people no character development. If I could skip this season entirely, and go to season 5 and not be in complete confusion, that is a fail on the writers part. (Also, you can't have character development on a trait that is already known. Ivy would never join the l.o.d its already etasblished. So to make her act out of character just to make her go back to who we know her as at the end of the season is realll lazy.)

I know how you feel about S4. You are one of the reasons I discovered HQ in the first place. And though, like you, I felt that S4 was not up to snuff, I held on and had faith. I felt with the last two episodes I was rewarded. I don't know if you have seen the final two episodes, because you have not posted anything. Not to mention I realized that you were probably busy with your own "Poison Ivy" (Hi Mosco). On the chance that you have not seen the last two episodes, I will not divulge any spoilers, but I will just blame the team for focusing on the Kite Man spinoff. But I found out that there will be a season 5. And I hope that with the focus on things that will be revealed in the final episode, the show will be back on track.
