Merry Gaymas, and a Happy New Queer! Producer: "So, Vivienne, what are we getting the fans for Gaymas?" Vivienne: "Trauma and angst." If this is just the prologue, what will the actual episode(s) dealing with Stolas' and Blitz's relationship be like? The production design of Helluva Boss continues to be top shelf. I love that production techniques have matured so that foregrounds and backgrounds are the same style so you don't get that thing where the characters and animated props are seamless with the backgrounds. It's a little thing but it adds so much to making everything feel integrated, and not like cel shading cartoons in front of paintings. Counter point - why don't the male content creators put on full makeup? Equality can go either way!

Favorite visuals have to be the Red/Blue starlit versions of the characters, and the symbolism of the tether that binds them together snapping, with Blitz rotating back around the moon. That had to be my favorite, though I will say the VFX team knocked it outa the PARK with this one! All of the particle effects were absolutely gorgeous, from the stunning water, to the starshine that flowed off of Stolas, to the bubbles as he was sinking. Just wonderful effects all around. As for audio, the line 'Look my way' hits so hard, especially towards the end. I enjoyed how light and quiet his voice got during the Red/Blue segment, and the build up of the music was gorgeous! It was wonderful to hear Bryce flexing that voice again, considering we haven't seen him singing at his fully perfected vocal range since episode 2 season 1.

Had a thought on the moon imagery. Moons are satellites caught in the pull of more powerful celestial bodies. They have no choice but to orbit the larger body. There is so much celestial imagery around Stolas, maybe he sees Blitzø as being caught in his orbit and is giving him a chance to escape.

I think it's the moon is because nights of the full moon is when Stolas got Blitzo to agree to the regular hook ups in the first episode.

My favorite line in the song is “I will try to make amends for making you means to an end” because to me that shows that Stolas is aware he messed up by treating Blitz the way he did, and he truly wants to fix their relationship and treat Blitz better
