I imagine it's pretty satisfying not only being proven right last episode, but also having Carmilla double down on how obvious it is. Also I do not blame you for having a gay moment with Carmilla. She's so fucking cool, and seeing her with her hair down was just like.. AAA omg she's so pretty... I've always loved characters who fight like they dance, so that was just really cool. And of course, both songs were excellent. We heard a lot of the second song in the trailer, so it's nice seeing the context for it.

Ok, theory. Hear me out. Suppose Alastor is only making small deals, because, right now, that's all he has to do. He's the type that likes to hold his cards close to his chest. He's only brought out his powers when he felt the situation called for it, and it's likely he is even more powerful than shown so far. I don't think he's interested in these people's souls right now; he's after something else. On a larger scale, he seems to have an interest in Charlie, if only because he thinks she is going to come out on top, but in the meantime, suppose he just wants to help the hotel. Maybe because of a deal with Lilith, maybe for his own reasons. He doesn't have to make huge deals to do that right now. He just has to keep "helping." He IS Alastor, though, so he can't just help, he has to make it look like he's getting something out of it.

Given how Hazbin Hotel is currently number one on Amazon in numerous parts of the world (including my home country), I feel as though the song lines of "They're dancing along! They're singing her song!" "Surprised? Why I knew she could do it all along." could be applied to Vivziepop herself (and those of us who have been following this since the pilot was first uploaded four years ago).

I don't know why anyone would express distrust this late at Alastor. He's never been Charlie's friend - he's out for himself and the Princess of Hell is a useful tool for him down the road (he's already secured a vague favour from her which has no real limits beyond "Not hurt anyone") especially since we know someone else hold's his leash. I wouldn't be surprised if he's a later season villain (or supporting villain for whatever big bad comes if he can't get his freedom first). Vaggie getting her wings back when she thinks about fighting for the person she loves makes sense if Angels are truely meant to be virtuous beings by nature. Maybe down the road we'll see her with a few more angelic powers - I'm not convinced Adam had the authority to make her truly fallen in the first place. Regardless great reaction - can't wait to see the Finale one!

Here's the tea on Charlies' hooves, the reason Alastor smiles, and Vaggies wings. Charlies' horns came from her mom Lilith. Because when Lilith fell, she embodied a demon form. But Charlies' hooves came from her father Lucifer. The imagery of a goat is synonymous with the devil aka Lucifer, it would make sense that part of Charlies' demon form are those hooves... Not sure if it's still canon but as a child Alastor was severely abused with scars covering his whole body except his face. Although nowhere near the level or as gruesome as Alastor, but speaking from personal comparable experience, a smile can hide the deepest of sorrows, that sometimes the illusion of happiness is all you have... In Ep. 4 when Husker was revealing everyone BS confessed to him by everyone's drunken rants, he reveals that Vaggie hates herself and judges everyone. It seems the angels in Hazbin Hotel are similar to the angels on the TV show Lucifer. Angels self-actualize, when angelic parts of themselves are lost intentionally or not, it reflects their inward self so when Vaggie dropped her self-hate and judgyness and focused on love, as well as whom she loves her self-actualization restored her wings.

If Alastor not taking Charlie's soul isn't an issue of ability, it'd have to be a calculated decision. He's on someone else's leash, so it's entirely possible he doesn't want there to be a transitive sort of chain of command thing where someone on his leash is also on that other person's leash. A favor is a lot more flexible of an idea.

Also, Alastor knows full well that taking Charlie's soul would piss off Lucifer like nothing else. And Lucifer could kill Alastor easily, being an Angel himself.
