Also as an aside, Re: Zero has gotta have one of my favorite soundtracks in all of anime. And just the audio in general is superb. All the sound effects plus the music make it super immersive.

5:15, "Return by death" is only slightly better in Japanese, in that it's one word: shini-modori 死に戻り. The "modoru" part of that is the "back button" on web browsers. So, "death-back-ing"

despite rezero being my favorite anime, I always feel as if the first arc of the show is a bit of a generic start. It definitely has that feeling of "isekai with a gimmick" at first, but it just keeps getting better and better. I'm really excited for you to see the next arc, and im even more excited for you to see the arc after that. my replied will not end...

In classic fashion, I’m now 35 episodes into this show after watching your episode one reaction. Going to be a real treat watching your reactions to this. Not, like, lighthouse bright, but it did seem glowery. He asked her family name and he asked her age. She didn't know either. It's obvious a lost child / bastard child / kidnapped child or a descendant of some ruined but important family.

Yeah even tho return by death is a great skill to have, the fact that no one knows the other outcomes besides you can be lonely and for sure not good for your mental health. Also yeah i can see you liking elsa, she is hot but more than that she is pretty capable, kinda of a hisoka situation

My argument for how to make your life great by going back in time while not losing your work ethic or friends (if you can go back and forth) is to just put a fair amount of money that you have in a bond or savings, let the interest compile and add the stipulation to the account that it cannot be closed out/interacted with until after the time you returned from the past

Something to note: Reinhard's title "Master Swordsman" is a bad localization that's only in the director's cut. In the original / BD release it's much better localized as the "Sword Saint", of which there is only ever one at a time in the Astrea family. Better translations like in the Seicher release (which you should switch to btw) make it even more clear that Reinhard was *born* as the Sword Saint. It's not a position that he gained by achieving a certain skill level in swordsmanship like "Master Swordsman" seems to imply.
