In Invincible season 3x8, Conquest is a pretty chill guy, he takes the good with the bad, the latter of which he's probably just letting happen out of loneliness.

wooooooooooo yeah baby that's what i've been waiting for

Matthew Richson

The fight that pretty much solidified Invincible’s place in comic fame. And they sure did it Justice.

You know eves powers are basically just a better version of alchemy. Imagine the stuff she could do if she learned the secret techniques passed down the armstrong family for generations. Seriously though. There are a lot of applications even against like viltrumites. Like turn the air into anthrax or blast the guy with obsidian glass monoatomic blades or something. Missed potential for sure.

Again, it’s messed up but I think Oliver will grow a lot from this fight, now he knows what it feels like to be at the other end of uncompromising strength, even if he chooses to end another life he won’t be doing so without the knowledge of what it’s going to be like

Hope we still have some english animation series now that we're done with Invincible, Castlevania still at the top of my list but would like to at least have something english Dub series alongside all the japanese animated ones too, just to shake things up ;)

Deku would be half dead but hear that conquest speech and say " thats a saveble guy for sure". ( And do it with a smile on his face)

Imagine a buff ass dude more than twice your size and age beating the crap out of you, then pinning you down beneath him and whispering “I am so lonely” in your ear Lmaoo HELPP

That's a really good point about Eve's dad just wanting to complain. Years ago, when gay marriage was still being decided, I went to a rally for an important legislative vote. Everybody was energetic and having a great time, and on the other side of the street were the counter-protesters. I was really struck by how disinterested and lifeless they seemed, just a bunch of sour-faced people who had brought lawn chairs to sit and watch the end of the world. It occurred to me that they didn't actually give a damn about the issue, or any issue - they just wanted to be losing, and for things to be getting worse. If positions were reversed, they would show up for whichever side was unhappy, so they could sit there and be smugly miserable.

Yeah that's the expectation when you hear the power. The irony will be that she'll figure all this stuff out and be able to do it once she's being controlled by some brain parasite or demonic force or some sort of possession

That's my feeling as well. I love that in episode 7 we see him out there rescuing people from the rubble. It's like what Debbie said about other people having the same reality even if you don't feel it... Well now he's seen it with his own eyes and also seen the impact he can have for helping people. I would be really happy if that's the result

The one that I always think about was the friends I saw in my Facebook timeline celebrating the death of others in early Covid, either because they didn't follow the protocols or because they did and still died

Jade

Even when the Broly of Viltrumites is absolutely annihilating our cast and the masses we at Goodwin Tv find time to take a shit on the educational system because it's genuinely worse than Conquest

Whyrie

Conquest’s monologue reminds me of the scene of Nolan being so frustrated facing his own feelings in season 1, and him crying when he leaves the planet. I wonder if Nolan felt that deep loneliness similarly before Debbie. More in a goofy vein- I like to Imagine Nolan comes back, releases his new best selling novels, and Conquest secretly loves them.

Changing your name to your dead friend's (whom you took DNA from in order to model your body as) isn't the cute emotional move you may imagine it is. Naming your child after him? Sure. But changing your name? A bit unstable.

I can almost see it, he's sort of the closest thing Rex has to a... son, or something? There are ways he could explain it that would make some sense. He's just not saying any of them...

Rudy already took Rex's body. Ok, we've dealt with that. Now he says he'll take his name. And he mentions honouring him. I can see a future where Rudy molds his personality to be more like Rex. Like, he stops being Rudy and adopts a Rex persona.

I mentioned pantheon once. That show about uploading people on computers. Both seasons are on Netflix now. You'd definitely be a pioneer. There are barely any reactions out there.

Well I'll just say again that Castlevania and Blue Eye Samurai on Netflix are at the top of my recommendation (haven't seen Pantheon), I think you'd have a great time analyzing those two series and their psychology.

Seth

What’s crazy is that in The Walking Dead, Invincible’s VA was killed by Conquest’s VA so this fight was like their rematch in a way 💀 Especially since both comics are from the same author

Who shit in your cereal 🤣 What “narrative” you sound psychotic

Great season.
