This episode does a great job of gradually making Captain Celebrity look worse with each scene. It’s interesting to compare him to the next American number 1, Star and Stripe. I feel like they are both personifications of the worst and best parts of American culture.

fun fact this chapter of the manga came out in like 2017 and star and stripe first appeared in 2021 so him being the top hero makes me think they originally we're going to have the number one hero from the USA be that important to the story

Goodwin talking about Pop step's ass in the cheerleading scene but the shot he's looking at but it's showing the front of her body Lmao 😂😂😂😂

I can't wait for next episode, I hope he does choose Makoto to be his "girlfriend" seeing as how the choices are her a woman around his age or the 16 year old high school girl he knows 😂😂

Essentially there is a culture of manliness in Japan, (think Kirishimas aesthetic) and CC changed his image from a ladies man to one that is very traditional Japan. It has the subtitle of Yankee Spirit under his face which is a commentary on the idea of a noble American warrior who emigrates to Japan during war.

I think it's interesting that - despite apparently being No. 1 - he seemingly can't do hero work in America right now? Like, is that true, and if so why, or is it just that he's very brand conscious? And trying to lie low for a while, to escape whatever scandal he's currently embroiled in? But it seems like scandals are part of his image, so why does it matter? Is it because he's The No. 1 right now, when he just used to be Top 10 before? Does America value different things in Pro Heroes, are there different rules? I'm so curious! On the other hand, while he doesn't seem to take it as seriously as we're used to from the Japanese Pros, he did go to another country to keep working as a Hero. I feel like that potentially shows that he does value the work he does? Although maybe not as much as the perks of the job...

Watching this after already finishing the series, it's funny how you said "Let your son fly," given the future context.
