Makima

just got back home with my dinner and see this notification. it's gonna be a good night.

Chess Red Eagle

Cannonballs into the comment section. Lord ZUKOOOOOO baby! *cough* Ok, now I'll watch the reaction

newairnation

Fun fact: Ming-Hua is voiced by Grey DeLisle-Griffin, who voiced Azula in ATLA.

newairnation

Another fun fact: The creators have stated that Zuko's dragon is descended from Ran and Shaw, the dragons who taught Aang and Zuko the true meaning of firebending in "The Firebending Masters".

Drake Chuckle

I actually think the characters are insane to think that airbending alone equates to being part of a culture. It is interesting to note that before the entire air nomad race were all airbenders, no non-benders. So for them I am going to assume that airbending was insanely culturally relevant - a society that is built on being able to hover around and jump higher/move faster/etc. But that doesn't really go the other way. The man with his farm and family was entirely probably a culturally earth nation dude. Tenzin was just so blinded here, lol.

hays collins

dont know if you noticed but Ming wua has not arms

I hadn't considered the fact that all Air Nomads were air benders, that's interesting. But yeah, agreed. Tenzin got a little carried away lol

agoodwintv
>>45031804

I noticed that later while editing. I thought her arms were tied behind her back at first!

ComicalSkate

Zuko is no longer the Firelord. He stepped down and allowed his daughter, Firelord Izumi to take the throne. He is just Lord Zuko now.

hays collins

Kai is such a little liar but man I love him

Jupiterninja

I now desperately want a cabbagequest video in the style of brodyquest

jassihere

The only thing I can comment on lately is that I’m so excited. Great philosophy moments ahead and great music score moments.

Teri Armstrong

I see someone may or may not have played Katamari Damacy at some point.

Calvin Brindley

Cosmo Cactus be chillin' and handing out existential crises.

NitrousOxide19

if you look at zuko's design it looks a lot like sozin and roku mixed!

Makima

cabbage bro's journey is going to be epic

hays collins

Zuko isnt the firelord his daughter is. He gave up the throne several years ago and is now refered to Lord Zuko instead of fire lord zuko

Juan Valencia

Oh man Zuko looking like a badass as always. I really love the aesthetic of the new dragon look. I am going to go on a limb and say that his dragon its the egg that Zuko and Aang discovered on the sun temple but I havent research about it so im just speculating lol.

Nathan K

I love how skeptical Goodwin is towards pretty much every good character, but he jumps right on board Zaheer's crazy train without a second thought (jokingly).

Cody Taylor

I gotta know the inspiration for the ending :)

R. Lewis

"If this weren't Nickelodeon" he says as she throws a man into a volcano.

It's similar to how I feel about Varrick, sometimes you gotta roll with the crazy and bet on the fact that you can get out before it's too late.

Aidan Pullen

How Tenzin and gang handle the marketing stunts and advertise their new Air Nomad stuff always irked me. Like, it doesn't take a genius to know that you probably shouldn't just stroll up to someone's home and tell them they *need to abandon their life and become a monk because a thing randomly happened to them. I also love the friends dynamic at play with these new villains, and you'll see that as a continuing thing. I love Zaheer and crew, such an interesting bunch. Now I'll stop talking before I give a spoiler :x

Brandon Golpe

All your wishes will come true LOL. This season DELIVERS!

Nico Salerno

Ive always related ming'was was water bending to tophs earth bending. Without sight or arms/hands you learn to get REAL REAL good at bending i think.

Blackeyedlily

I knew you would love this team of villains, but I was just waiting for that moment when Zuko came on screen. BTW, he’s not too terribly stern. And I absolutely love that he has a dragon. Makes me hope they have come back a bit more from almost extinction, since the end of ATLA.

Brimmy

"if this wasn't nickelodeon" hahaha wait for it Alex \w a i t f o r i t\

Lil Lexz

Your gonna love this quod I actually was rooting for the villains cz in there heads and some way they are trying help the world . I

Lil Lexz

don’t wanna spoil it but this season we will see someone special that will have get a tear,....I know i did 🙄😓🤓

Jerry Ferrell

Are you going to propose to Zaheer?

agoodwintv
>>45038271

YES! Even without knowing their motivations I can already see why they're easy to root for.

Kingsley

I want an RPG Maker game of Cabbage Bro.

Rachel Espiritu

Everyone's gonna talk about the villains here (and rightfully so!), but can we appreciate the heroes too? My favorite thing about these first two episodes is seeing Korra and Asami tagteam sassing Mako just for kicks. And honestly, I think this is the very first episode of the whole show where Team Avatar actually feels like a team. There was that one episode in season 1 where they had the car chase together, but other than that one moment I don't think the four of them were ever on the same page, between being constantly split up and all the love triangle crap. Korra and Asami being friends and both forgiving Mako is exactly what the show needed. It also helps that everyone seems to have a new role now, and a lot of it is thanks to Kai. Korra gets to step up as a leader in a new world, Tenzin has a chance to pass on his father's teachings, Bolin gets the new family he's always wanted, Mako gets to be a role model and redeem a younger version of his own shady past, Jinora has a love interest (and is the same age Aang was when he met his future wife heheheh), and Asami's at the wheel. Also, can we talk about Bumi being literally conscripted into the United Forces in a potato sack? That's a hell of a line to just gloss over!

>>45040427

That's a great point. The love triangle has been talked about a lot as one of the weaker elements of season 2, but I think part of it too is the separation of the characters, as you point out. Now we not only have a journey outside of Republic City, but everybody is on board. Or almost everybody, anyway.

Jon

Watching your videos has become a part of my daily routine lmao, every night i make a pb and j and watch the new korra reaction 👍

John Smith

Zuko is not the fire lord any longer, his daughter is. They still call him Lord Zuko the way we still refer to past presidents as Mr. President. I don't remember exactly when but we get to see Fire Lord Izumi maybe this season or next as part of like the avatar universe UN.

SupremeCai

"I know. It's a little kid, give him a chance" (he's like a year older than Jinora apparently so around 13-14?) *next frame* "IT'S THE KID, I SHOULDA NEVER GIVEN HIM A CHANCE" 😂😂

James Berry

i think we should find this cactus! give it to everyone on he planet. i believe this will cause real life harmonic convergence . goodwin can then fuse with the great cactus spirit and become the avacactus. i need to lay off the cabbage

James Berry

does anyone think that because zuko is alive, azula might be about somewhere? absolutley awsome unexpected season?

benj
>>45033236

This is perfect for Season 2 Varrick, but LOL is Varrick about to have quite the Arc as a character, you'll see. Mad hyped for you to maybe or maybe not see Varrick this season.

benj

Zaheer is the most Based character in the ATLA universe imo.

Jay Crigler

Just a little more info about the villains you know zaheer the other 2 people he broke out one is a lava bender and the other is a water bender with no arms that's why she uses octopuses style

Darby

Choosing to introduce Zuko again is just one of the examples showing that the creators truly didn't want to distance themselves from ATLA. They were probably just tired of having the fans asking to see adult Aang rather than Korra so they just said fine we'll just sever the connection so there's no chance of that anymore. This season however is definitely the closest thing we get in the series to ATLA quality, no doubt about it.

Ruma Risto

Apparently Zuko abdicated the throne some years prior to the Legend of Korra in favor of his daughter. But it's still amazing he's still alive and fighting.

chi hong

One thing I did like this season is that Zuko is acting like Roku a bit. When he first appear its capture the avatar. Now its Protect the avatar.

Faureamour

Why was that ending so cosmic and existential? I was not ready for that. Also, if Cabbage Bro were to take out the cosmic cactus and drink from him, would he trip or would he renew his fading, vegetable life?

agoodwintv
>>45072882

That is interesting. They separate themselves from the past while also bringing in Zuko. Maybe some kind of compromise between the two :)

Darby
>>45072882

Zuko is one of the best characters in media so any more of him is welcomed with open arms and teary eyes.
