Hey, thanks for being here in the trying time. Just tested positive for covid, so I'm feeling pretty bummed. I'm not really scared or anything, I'm just upset at the whole situation. Anyway, so far I'm feeling OK. No fever at all but I can't smell anything. Just sucks. Anyway, thanks a lot! Now to watch the video.

just a quick clarification, Kakeru and Kimi aren't dating, that was confirmed in the school trip episode. we do get to see Kakeru's gf in the manga, but she's not in the anime. a lot of people are really sad about that but i can at least assure you that it's not really important and is one of the weaker storylines in my opinion

i really love Tohru's arc cuz she keeps it SO under the surface, to the point that we as the audience don't even know the full story, but we get these glimpses of her that scare us, and make us think she's about to reach the breaking point

i think it's important to remember that Kyo has been there a lot for Tohru; he listened to her SO MANY times, there's episode 5 when he was the one who got her to say she wants to go home, there's episode 23 when he listened to her troubles when she was sick, there's the episode where he got her to open up about her fears for the future, there's where he knew she wanted to talk about her mom at the beach, and there's the time he helped her recently when she was basically having a mental breakdown after seeing her grandfather. no one else has done that much for her. so i do agree he needs more maturing, but i think it's important to remember how many other times he was there for her

While I maintain that season 2 is the Yuki season, it also has some GREAT moments for the rest of the squad, particularly Tohru in this episode. The lid's gotta come off

Aw man, I loved that storyline. This is my first time watching the anime so I didn't know about that. There are hints in the anime after his fight with Yuki a few episodes ago, but I think Kakeru has a disorder that makes him lack empathy or at least process it differently from others. The arc with his girlfriend made me realize he really struggles with that, so I'm sad to hear it was cut. Also his girlfriend is really fun, I wish they at least introduced her. T.T

Something I noticed that's really interesting is that earlier in the series, Yuki was reflecting on his envy of Kyo with how people are drawn to him, and that was in part triggered by classmates adopting the "kyon kyon" nickname for him. Now Yuki is being harassed with "Yun yun" by his own group of forced friends. I like how that came full circle

This second season hits so much harder emotionally. I don't remember crying this much when I read the manga! I resonate so much with these characters sometimes. I'm glad they re-did the anime and got to do the show in it's entirety. One of my all time favorite manga series.
