In Attack on Titan 4x19 Two Brothers, Eren isn't catching what Zeke is throwing, and Zeke took that personally.

Zeke be like…lemme plot twist your plot twist 😎

Nick

I find it SO interesting that Eren was the first person to shout "WAIT" at Zeke when he was about to transform everyone with the wine. Then Colt arrived and made his case. Almost like Eren didn't want that part of Zeke's plan to go through considering how much it would affect Paradis

Sumiya Mayna

Lmao your reaction to Eren's head blown off was literally me lol

Colt: "I don't think you're the kind of guy to bring kids into this!" Zeke: "My plan is about sterilizing Eldians homie. Kids are the crux of the plan. I'm trying to take them OUTTA this" Colt: "WAIT- ZE-" Zeke: "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA"

Megan

Founder Ymir really gave Zeke acrylics💅

Xylen

It's so beautiful and tragic that Colt refused to leave Falco's side as he was transforming, giving his life to just support and comfort his brother in those few moments... Only for Falco to revert maybe a couple minutes later.

Tea-Spin

Gabi didn't miss because Eren doesn't have protagonist plot armor...because he is an antagonist lol /s

Megan

LMAOO one of the memories from when Zeke and Eren came in contact was Connie sticking his finger up Sasha’s nose. Also… Nerd Armin and Goth Mikasa?? I’m so surprised that got animated, even it was only for a split second.

I remember sobbing at Colt’s death when reading it in the manga for the first time. It happened so fast in the anime (no fault to MAPPA they had a lot of content to pack in) His last line “your big brother will stay with you always” was so heart breaking.

Vee

Love or hate Gabi, that girl never misses! Also,Fun fact, this epsiode was given a 10/10 rating on IMDB, making it the highest rated episode ever in all of television history, along with ‘hero’ from season 3! Forbes just released an article on it!

Also, the official art from a while ago of all the boys in a sauna together?! I mean i’m here for it but I can’t believe they animated it even for a second hahahahaha

Khalid

the Elitist were all eliminated by Zeke damn. Erwin(Scout) , Nile (MP) and Pixis (Garrison)

Jake White

Don’t get me wrong the first 2 episodes were amazing too, no doubt. But this was what I was waiting for lol. This episode and everything that follows is constant “wtf is going on?!?” and loads more of those triggers actually being pulled, like you mentioned lol. This episode really starts where I was excited for the anime only people’s reactions

John Carrizales

I am so HAPPY to be vindicated by what Eren Said I knew from the start that he was never going to go along with Zeke's Plan. His own Mothers words if yall remember from seasson 3 mid season finale "Eren is Special if for no other reason than he was born into this world" Zeke whole plan is jsut plain dumb Lets say he does get what he wants and Eldians cannot have kids then the whole world will just move onto the next descrutive thing to kill each other be it nukes, bombs, guns etc. and wage war upon one and another. The only thing he might do is desotry Marley which is a good thing IMO but a bad thing for the eldians who have been suffering so much from their subjigation and opression they faced with Marley and The Formor King who wiped eveyrones memories.

"You thought it was Eren's W, but it was me, Di- I mean Zeke!"

Brimmy

omggg I watched this ep on the sos bros channel earlier today...well more like listened and occasionally watched as i played Cozy Grove XD I DIDN'T KNOW THAT WAS GALLIARD I THOUGHT THAT WAS COLT OMGGGG Eren's head turned into a beyblade :3 it was at this point i stopped playing cozy grove to pay attention lmao Also is that white tree yggdrasil?

Linh

"Porco died, having never tasted victory." In the contrary, I think Porco sacrificing himself for Falco and continuing Marcel's "legacy" (if you will) of saving Reiner is probably a victory in itself. This chapter is one of my favorites in the manga because Colt and Porco's death really hit home despite being new characters.

It’s definitely meant to be used as a reference to Yggdrasil, since a ton of the mythology and lore that influenced this series came from Norse mythos. Titans, Ymir, the World (Paths) tree, etc.

Keegan Brakhage

since the ball toss was supposed to be a handshake, eren "missing" the catch was probably his cute way of not accepting the deal truly.

Geneva The Weeba

"This time, Eren, but SHIRTLESS" "*Scarf*. *Tree*." "Not having such a good time now, are you, YeLEnA?" "In a show where it's hard to know who to root for, at least I can eliminate Zeke," "The biggest danger right now is Titan Pixis. Titan Pixis is coming for you," "We don't have to fight. We don't...have to fight?" "I was expecting a little bit more action in season 4, but it's acceptable. Acceptable levels of action," "I'm relieved that Gabi took out Eren, just 'cause I feel like recently in this show, he's really lost his head," "If you can't catch a baseball, do you even deserve to breathe?"

LudicrouslyLuke

Yeah no this episode left me anxious af. So stressed 🤣

jdthebud

I was kind of annoyed by the animation and pacing of the first two episodes this season (numerous cuts in scenes, noticeable long pauses, etc) that it took me away somewhat from the tension of the plot and conflicts. However this episode was much better with the pacing. That first half was crazy tense the whole time, and I really enjoyed seeing the conflict between Eren and Zeke.

Yeah I agree. Jokes about always losing aside It was closure for him and the completion of an arc.

Megan
>>76470696

Yes agree the second episode had me a little worried but this episode made up for it

CRS

I legit snorted when Alex said, "You had all this time and couldn't think of a better plan?" to Zeke but that's the point. Maggath (and Ksaver) thoroughly convinced Zeke that Eldians were evil, born for suffering, and didn't deserve to live. So, the zenith of all solutions was just to kill all Eldians. A simple calculus for him. He is just as suicidal as Reiner but just a bit more willful and capable with a lot more ambition. The way this ep was shot was amazing. So many incredible style choices, like swooping all through the battlefield in the moment of Zeke catching Eren's head. Just riveting.

iaani

This week in aot: Magath is still blatantly using wallhacks, Hange reached Australia and Zeke wins the titan baseball olympics again, 4 years after his perfect game against some scouts coached by Erwin Smith

benj

This show will officially be the greatest series of all time if Levi comes back from the dead out of completely nowhere, music swelling, animation budget turned to 10, and finally kills Zeke fulfilling the promise he made to Erwin Smith many years ago. I won't even care what happens after that, just give me Levi taking down the Monke FOR REAL...Please. I hate Zeke so much, he's an actual murderous psychopath. Amazing character nonetheless.
