So richards partners transform at will or do they just automatically change when richard is around or interact with them in someway? I want to know how his powers work.

Richard’s mere presence or actions can trigger the change, it varies, some need a little push to transform, some do it more quickly. Frost already knows him and that makes the transition smooth and easy, I would say that the hug triggered the change here.

I see, so his powers are more of a passive aura that can transform any man around him or had a bit of richard inside him prior and can be triggered when in his pretense. Can richard's partners trigger doggomode at will or just when it's in richard's precense? Im so sorry this is so interesting to me.

Don't worry, I love to answer questions about my work! Ok so, he can only transform guys who have at least a tiny desire to be submissive, he can't transform women nor straight people. Guys who were transformed once by Richard will eventually go back to human, some may take more time than others, and no, they can't go back to their 'pup mode' at will, Richard must be there for it to happen again. His powers would be actually defined as an aura, yes, but Richard has total control over it. Like I said, Richard can trigger the transformation by his mere presence, sometimes that may be enough, some other times he might need to give a little push to accelerate the process: a gesture, a touch, a kiss...The aura itself works similar to alcohol in a way, when exposed to it, feelings and sensations start to flow, the way inhibitions drop with alcohol, the easier you let these sensations flow, the faster you transform.
