Jesse is back and diving into Episode 5 of The Amazing Digital Circus — and things get wild. After four previous reactions, this one hits like a turning point: bigger reveals, deeper lore, and yes… that ridiculous maid outfit moment.  What theories will he come up with this time? this episode was really interesting to me in the way it drip feeds you these little tidbits about both the characters' pasts and potentially how they got to the circus. My current theory is Cain and Able developed this game with interactive VR and adaptive AI, but before they could finish it, the company went under. The building was abandoned, but the headset is still running. Perhaps Kinger worked on the game and got stuck with other programmers and testers. Pomni and Zooble likely found the headset while exploring the abandoned building and Ragatha might have been scoping it out for sale since she worked in real estate. The only 2 that aren't clear (to my knowledge at least) are Gangle and Jax. Also when Jax comes across the frog door in the intermission, the border is full of the eyes of the abstraction monsters, so we can guess that's what happened to his friend.

I though that the evil counterparts are the personifications of their flaws they are hiding with Gangle being the only genuine person.

Will say, they love to make ad vids for merch drops alongside the main series (often doing funny skits) and they did acknowledge the "weird" side of the fandom as "the consequences of our actions *AND ITS ONLY GOING TO GET WORSE FROM HERE* "

As much as I am enjoying these, part of me IS wondering/concerned that maybe what if this series isn't actually working towards some bigger overarching story such as what the Digital Circus actually is and why they are all trapped there and is just going to be episodic silliness. Don't get me wrong though, like I said I'm still very much enjoying what they are doing. I guess I also am just wondering just how long this series will be. Murder Drones by the looks of it was ONLY 8 episodes and I really hope that's not the case here, what with practically being at episode 7 already (coming out December 17 I think).

Dang..this show got me so invested....so many lorebits this time... The only unknown is Jax now...what with the corn

I love that Jesse went back and analyzed the intermission time. He points out everything fans have on twitter about it. I figured he'd stop and go back to look at Jax stopping at the frog door, but he also noticed that the bowling ball/cake/chess piece bit and how certain objects only went to certain characters. You're officially part of the fandom now, Jesse!

Loved Amanda Hufford's evil version of Ragatha!

I'm a simple man. I love the disappearing guy.

"Former accountant at a supermarket chain" is clearly double speak for "cashier." It was Pomni saying she was at a dead end in life.

So as for "INTERMISSION TIME", I asked 1 of my animators (in secret from the other animators) to make an intermission sequence with lots of lore symbolism and they did not disappoint. The original sequence they made was like 15 minutes long as we where just going to pop it on during a table read and see how long we could run it for until someone asked what was going on... it wasn't long enough in my opinion but still alot longer than expected. I'm hoping that there's still a copy of it somewhere so that we can release it around episode 9

I had a thought. Did Ragatha not recognize Breaking Bad because she was out of the loop with TV or because she's been in the circus since before Breaking Bad came out?
