Let's go, I can't remember any of the films from this point so it's like I'm watching them with you as well now for the first time.

Colt Wright

This movie really makes fast and furious feel like American anime and I love it

Neil Kulevich

Weirdly enough not once but twice in the past week I unexpectedly come across Fast and Furious collectibles stuff for a series I wouldn't think to have much in that. First was a foot tall (and almost just as wide) die-cast metal statue of chibified Dwayne Johnson as Hobbs and the other being a set of blind bag collectable keychains (also chibified). The keychains were especially goofy as, the cast being mostly just otherwise normal looking people, I'm not sure I would be able to positively identify any of them out of context other then maybe Dom and Hobbs (Wait no, Han too. Because they have him eating chips).

Damn I forgot that line he says to Letty at the end. Probably one of the nicest and real lines in the whole franchise lol. But man. The stretch of 5, 6, and 7 I think are my favorites. The rest are still fun, but unfortunately I do think it does go downhill from here. I do still love this franchise so much though. No matter how corny it gets, it’s just dumb fun.

My favorite part of this movie is that in the extended edition there is a scene of The Rock watching his only College Football highlight on the TV before it cuts to the news. My least favorite part of this movie is Tony Jaa getting his ass kicked by Paul Walker. I love the Ong-Bak movies so much and it just hurts my soul seeing that.

Neil Kulevich

"It's been really serious so far, very little humor." "That's because R2D2 and C3PO haven't shown up yet. Once they come in, instant jokes." Cut to a funeral.

Kivik

I would encourage you guys to check out the behind the scenes of this movie. They had to use cgi for more than the last scene with Paul Walker, and it's actually kinda crazy how unnoticed it goes through the movie

So this is the one I remember best because its my personal favorite in the franchise. It also is where I came up with my "F&F Arc" theory 1-4 are the Street Race Arc and the start of the Brian Saga 5-7 are the 'This is family' Arc and Starts and Ends the Family Saga 8-10 are the super spy arc where Dom is now fully the Main character

Zikoro

I'm not crying! You are! The ending got to me even knowing that this was his last film. It was a nice tribute with the cast and crew.

Maserati are Italian, not British. You might be confusing them with Jaguar or Aston Martin.

btw there were a lot more scenes in this film where Paul's brothers were there instead of him as well as full CG recreations of Paul. 1. Whole sequence where the house explodes. 2. Mia having a talk with Brian about the dangers. 3. A lot of the Abu Dhabi jumping car sequence. Go watch a breakdown of the CGI, it's still nuts to this day what a good job they did, even if it hits the inevitably uncanny valley sometimes.

"It'd be sick if there was a predator in this" I mean...

at Race Wars that girl that dabbed Letty was Iggy Izalea making a cameo. Also Hector was a side character in the first one.

I gotta say, watching this movie with you two was a lot more fun than when I did by myself 2 days ago. I absolutely hated it by myself beside maybe the start and the end for reasons I'm sure will be mentioned in the podcast. The tl;dr is that too much stuff happens is nonsensical beyond even what the other movies did and the logic was already flimsily and the whole premise is "Get God's Eye to find Shaw" yet Shaw is there at every location. CG also looks real bad. And yeah that ending still got me. I cried way more when I was alone, but even here it got me. When the news dropped, I remember it clearly as it came to a shock to me as a teen loving these movies, hearing he had died in a car crash. I thought 5 was already a good stopping point and the news solidified that thought. I just didn't/couldn't watch the next few movies. Glad I did though. Movie overall is terrible, but that ending makes it worth it. A beautiful tribute to Paul Walker. People always talk about Vin Diesel, but to me Paul was and will always be the true heart of the franchise. Dom/Vin needed Brian/Paul and I just don't see how it's gonna work with him gone. Especially since Dom, especially here, already felt like he was way more of the boss of everyone. Beside Letty, he isn't really a close friend to the rest of the family. Brian was. Anyway can't wait for the pod and we'll see how they continue without Paul in a couple of days!

Gromsky

Hector was in the first film.

Dale

Paul Walker the actor died but Brian the character did not. If you know you know if not listen closely to dialogue in the next few. He's still out there. I still think the bus crash would've been a great place to kill him off though. He doesn't make the jump or misses catching the spoiler.

Daniel Cross

The next time I see DJ Hapa I'm going to tell him how I had no idea that he was in this movie AND his name is above T Pain's in the credits!

Cassius

It’s pretty crazy how many shots in the film are actually Paul’s brother. More than I ever thought and I only found out recently because of Corridor Crew. I thought it was just the end shots but they did a great job especially for the time and it was a beautiful way they paid tribute.

Cassius

The ending still gets me after a decade
