Awwwwe so cute! I'm glad that went over well, I was so nervous for Remi! At what point in social media fame does a person have to deny friend requests because the request is probably coming from an obsessed weirdo (and not a neurotypical person) who sees the videos and thinks, "OMG this person is just like me, we have to become best friends immediately and meet in person and move in together and get married and then I can be in their videos and get famous too!" and then blows up your inbox? I have followed so many artists and wish I had the courage to reach out and be like " hey, I love your videos and I want to be your friend" without sounding like a weirdo. 😝

honestly the part "I wanna be your friend" is already a weird thing, isn't friendship something that happens naturally over time with talking a lot and sharing memories together and stuff? and it doesn't matter if you're famous or not, it's just something you can say in kindergarten and it will work but not when you're an adult. I got messages like that and it was really weird, like a person is saying "hi let's be friends!" and doesn't talk much and I just have zero emotional connection with this random person, which friends they want to be...

Exactly! It gets so much harder to make friends when you are out of school and don't get to see people nearly every day. In school we had group projects and teams in PE and all these situations that let you get to know the other kids in your age group. As an adult who likes to keep her personal life separate from work, finding time after work to do activities that create new friendships is soooo hard. 😭
