Warded Drinking Horn (Patreon)

Many wary kings and queens keep this drinking horn close. Though they come in a variety of styles and shapes, a ring of protective runes are always etched around the mouth of the vessel.

My dad actually helped me come up with this one! Old Viking drinking horns would often be warded with 'blood runes' that would supposedly cause the horn to break once drunk from.

An alternative idea I had for this was that it simply neutralizes the poison - whoever was attuned to the drinking horn would be immune to any poison drunk from it. I think this idea would make it a more powerful item though.
