White horn Rangers foster a strong bond with their animal companions from birth. This armour embodies their belief that every person has a “spirit twin” that shares their soul with an animal counterpart. An animal they would trust with their lives.

Basically, a pokeball armour.

I initially thought of this idea when my ranger players had difficulty bringing their animal companion on their adventure - sometimes scaling cliffs, swimming underwater…etc can be tricky for some animals. Also, solves the question of “what to do with my horse” before an adventure.

I would say it’s up to the DM to decide what constitutes as a “beast” in their campaign - Personally, I would say this rules out shapeshifting druids. Iwould also have it that the player has to have a strong trusting bond with the animal in question - It cannot simply be a random wild creature they’ve found in the woods.

What do you think?
