Dungeon Diaries 2: page 1 (Patreon)

Dungeon diaries?? some of you might wonder. It’s a comic I did a while ago (back when I was playing pathfinder!) about my first ever tabletop roleplaying group.

I wanted the comic to be a way to show newbies all the wonderful things about tabletop roleplaying games and try to de-mystify it. The initial comic followed the first session and my groups journey from the small town of Liannon to the mysterious ‘Crumbling Tower’ in their search for some missing kids.

It ended on a bit of a cliff hanger, and for a long while I struggled to figure out how best to continue the story. After meeting an old friend of mine, he suggested i pick it up again. It was inspiring chatting about our first ever stumble into real playing games and I knew I had to continue it.

I came to realise that sometimes telling a story in itself is good enough - it doesn‘t have to be educational or better than before. Creating things from a place of love and enthusiasm is good enough.

So that’s what i’m gonna do!
