The Important Stuff

Hi everyone,

I have a new Game History Secrets video documentary (approximately 1 hour, 15 minutes in length) currently on schedule to be finished this week and as always, you, my biggest supporters, will get exclusive access to it early and before anyone else.

Due to the nature of this upcoming video, on this occasion, I am forced to take extra measures to prevent potential issues and will be sending each Silver Tier ($5) and above backer a unique link to the video. You will receive this link via Patreon's messaging system. If you would like to receive the link another way, please let me know: you can comment below, message me on Patreon, DM me on Twitter, or email me at liamrobertson08@gmail.com. I will be more than happy to accommodate you ASAP.

I will release a further post soon to notify you when these links are being sent out.

I want to sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused by this change. This was not something that I ever wanted to do. Future videos will return to the regular system of an unlisted YouTube link being released on Patreon first. I will explain in detail why I have had to take these steps in the near future - possibly on a future podcast or a Patreon exclusive video.

For now, thank you for your understanding, patience, and loyal support. I appreciate your contributions more than words can say and I'm hoping this video will serve as a testament as to why your support is so valuable. Together, I believe we are making genuine breakthroughs in the cause of uncovering and preserving game history.

Other Video/Podcast Updates

While I've got you, here are some updates on some (but not all!) other things I'm planning...

Shortly after this Game History Secrets video, I will be doing a Patreon-exclusive post-mortem/analysis/behind the scenes video on it to go over the long and arduous making of the documentary, some extra info and facts that didn't make it in, my personal feelings on the projects discussed, and a few other interesting things. I have already done two of these on my previous two documentaries which you can find only on Patreon right now! Check them out if you haven't already. You can find links to those below:

I will be detailing future plans for documentaries on an upcoming Liam Unfiltered podcast episode this month. On the last solo episode I did, I already talked a little about some of those ideas. For now, I'll say that I have the scoop on a cancelled console exclusive from one of the big three platform holders that was shown at E3 2013. That will be the subject of a new video and as usual, it will include a lot of exclusive info and looks at material that the public has never seen before. Surprisingly, nobody has really dug into this project before but I have been trying to crack it for years and I feel like i've finally done that. I like to highlight lesser covered projects in Game History Secrets that I find oddly interesting and this is a great example of that. Let's hope the copyright gods are kind to us, which I am admittedly a bit concerned about, although Did You Know Gaming has a good track record of fighting back against badly motivated and baseless copyright claims from large game companies.

As usual, we will be doing another Off The Record podcast with Dan soon where I'm dying to talk about Mameda no Bakeru (developed by Kirby's Epic Yarn creators Good Feel) coming to the West, some Switch 2 news, Ubisoft shilling NFTs, and the bizarre Valve 'NDA' situation. I also have hopes to expand the podcast that I will go into at a later date.

Please let me know if you have any questions or thoughts on anything I've mentioned. I love reading your comments and will respond to all of them as soon as I can.

Enjoy the rest of your week and I'll be in touch again soon.

Thanks,

Liam

letting my speculation run wild on this, have one guess but not sure if it was actually showed at E3 2013 or if it was earlier
