Exclusive: JonTron Game Was On The Cards (Patreon)

Here's a little scoop for you all. I've recently learned that a video game starring the popular YouTuber, Jon Jafari aka 'JonTron', was being discussed and once could have potentially made it into development in the  future.

I was originally tipped off about this by a developer familiar with FreakZone Games, the creators of the AVGN video games. FreakZone, a small indie studio, had been in contact with Jon for a while, hashing out ideas for a potential game carrying JonTron's namesake.

I reached out to FreakZone Games who confirmed this was the case. Jon himself, on the other hand, denied that such a title was ever in the making.

FreakZone tells me that they will not be going forward with the project in light of controversial comments  Jon made recently about race and immigration during a Twitch live stream. Jafari's statements caused them to reconsider their relationship with him.

The developers, speaking to me via their Twitter, say that they have no intention of discussing the matter publicly out of fear that they will be subject to harassment from enraged fans. This comes after they hastily deleted a series of tweets which were critical of Jon last week.
