Watered Flat Drill Site - Map Pack (Patreon)

As slavery in the Sabrian Domain took the spotlight, its military recieved intelligence indicating the presence of Daedetic Crystal in Isani territory. With the realm understandably distracted, the Sabrian Generals decided to make their first push into the Watered Flat. The Flat, of course, was still uninhabitable to the Elves, who couldn’t withstand the swamp’s noxious fumes, but they had more than enough loyal Halflings who could carry out their work. A covert team of Halflings, with expertise in both military and industry, was commissioned to infiltrate Isani territory and mine for the crystal in remote locations. Some members of the Sabrian military were suspicious that Halflings in the crew would compromise the mission, but they failed to recognize that Halflings, just like Elves, were complex individuals with unique motivations. Most of the Generals, however, understood this, and chose team members based on their infatuation with the Elven lifestyle. Ultimately it was not anyone on the team that foiled the mission, but the Flat itself. The Halflings living in the Flat could, in a way, communicate with the forest - a fact unknown to most Halflings who were born and raised in the Domain - so the Isani were eventually informed of the intrusion. This would spark an era of Isani retaliation, wherein the Halflings of the Flat took a more offensive approach to their relationship with the Domain.
